Ren 77
The title says it all. Finale doesn't have a free downloadable music notation program that has MIDI input. Does Sibelius? Any suggestions?
Ren 77
Look, i know you guys use this stuff. I'm looking for something - even a demo that doesn't expire but will let you print. I'm going to use this for school and every 7/8th grader in maine has a mac laptop so i need it to be dowloadable and free.
TIEfighter 0
maybe you can find something at http://www.freeware.com (enter "music notation" in the search box)

Marian Schedenig 8,581
There are some free MIDI programs for Linux. Since MacOS is Unix-based now, you might be able to use those on a Mac. Rosegarden and Brahms are two of the best-known I believe.Marian - who hasn't really used them yet.
Ren 77
but is it a music notation program too?

David Coscina 4
I have a version of Coda's Print Music that I'll mail to you if you send me your mailing address through my private message account. It's not as deep as Finale but it works pretty darn well. It ought to do what you require for a high school scenario.
