tpigeon 3
I just got my copy of The Five Scared cd's in the mail today and boy was it worth the wait. It is absolutely terrific so far! I own Williams' trumpet, tuba, violin and cello concertos, but this one is definitely my favorite so far. I never expected it to be this good. If you haven't gotten this cd yet, it would be in your best interest to do so as soon as possible.Ted, absolutely blown away by this bassoon concert. Hlao-roo 389
Anyone else wish that John Williams would write a piano concerto?
Guest
His own sax concerto would be interesting. As well as a...harp concerto (even though the Kaska one comes awfully close). Jerry Goldsmith should do a blaster beam concerto.
Lurker 5
Goldsmith has said that he'll never use the blaster beam again.Neil

Lurker 5
I'm not sure if he'll never perform with the blaster beam again. It's possible that he'll just never write for it again.Oh, and thanks for "rubbing in" again that you got to hear TMP music live.Neil - who heard "The Five Sacred Trees" live earlier this year

Marian Schedenig 8,211
Melange - Scanned for the Blaster Beam upon arrival in the hall, but alas, twas abscent. :cry:Yeah, but they made one hell of a great job simulating all these weird sounds with normal instruments. I was hoping to see the Beam as well, but I can't really say I missed it when hearing the music.Marian - waiting for Stefan to send his CDs back.
