Bloody hell man, how many times are you gonna change that reply?

But playing it well, is. A good musician is not someone will a great deal of technique, at least to me. A good musician is someone who makes good music with whatever tools they have. With all due respect man, you sound like one of those rock players who thinks knowing the blues scale and a handful of blues licks means you can play the blues but reality shows us that this is so not true. Most rock players and many, many players in other styles play very weak, diluted blues. Blues by it's nature is more likely to be an emotional statement but alot of other styles, I guess mainly jazz and classical require a balance between emotion and the intuitive discipline of a good technique but no matter what the style surely the end product is the most important thing and all other factors are a means to that end. If you ever get a chance to watch B.B's 3 teaching videos, I think you'd be supprised at how knowledgeable he is, he's no theoretical master, of course but the guy is bursting with passion and history and makes a lot of sense. I'd be cool if you could somehow post a clip of your blues playing to see where your coming from with regard to what makes a good musician. I'm not trying to bash or anything man, just interested.

Fair enough Joe, please accept my apologies also - sorry man. I'm sure the last thing we both want is to be banned by someone alot younger than us, that would be embarrassing. Ramshank ( who's not really a Dr ) -

Hey Joe you little prick, I wasn't insulting you ! - don't call me a friggin' turd. Just because I don't post much, I'm a newbie? I don't think so scoob. Why so defensive ? I hit a nerve? You're doing the insulting ! But it just proves to me you probably are the fool I think you are. Unbelievable. -

From the sound of it, there's no way he could post out of his ass - it seems to be jam packed already with a few members. Handbags at 10 paces girls. -
Well nobdoy is being forced to buy so what's the problem? If I did have the cash though - I'd buy it in a heartbeat !! It does come with a pencil sharpener doesn't it?

ROTS End Titles revisited: Genius or Lazy?
Dr_Ramshank replied to stewdog1's topic in General Discussion
Cool, that's fair enough man, I'm just going on how the recorded performances sound to me. Don't get me wrong, the NPO sounds amazing but for me at least there's something dare I say magical about the LSO. It's amazing though the difference that can be heard in the overall sound of a recording or a performance even when there are only a few different players, again depending on whether any of those roles include more soloist activity rather than one of the guys ( or girls, sorry ) who sit in the back row of the 2nd violins makes a difference. What I personally love about JW and the LSO is the way he conducts those soloist type passages, he seems to bring out much more expression/emotion/articulation/ in the performances as opposed to other conductors doing that material, but that's obviously because there's only one man who truly knows how his own music should be played. On that note though I'm gonna go and listen to my Gerhardt - CLOSE ENCOUNTERS/STARWARS cd as it contains ' The Battle ' suite which I love so much. -

You've got to be kidding, the LSO wipes the floor with the NPO. That's at least if we're talking about an orchestras ability to perform with a consistency in its balance of tone and intonation. -
You know what man, me too, it's upsetting to even think about it but that piece does indeed capture the feeling of never being able to go back. I certainly couldn't be a jedi - I can't let go of what I've lost or fear to lose. Oh wow, don't I feel happy now.

I thought this might be of interest to some of you, there's also an interesting little video clip to watch. http://www.scorewars.port5.com/HTML%20File.../JFKreview.html Sorry if this has been posted before.

Exclusive LIVE John Williams tracks
Dr_Ramshank replied to Sithlord1128's topic in General Discussion
Hi, would it be possible for someone to send me the link please. Any idea why iTunes made this EP for USA purchase only? Many thanks. -
With regards to space suits, Obi-Wan was a jedi, I don't remember any other jedi piloting a craft in the OT ( please don't say Vader) and Luke wasn't a Jedi until the end of ROTJ. Also, have you looked at the specs of the different ships to what differences each one offers. Although not many people probably noticed the space suit thing, I'm sure the makers did, that's why they make films instead of message posting. Who knows?????
