  1. Better than the book?! I have read some funny comments about the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but this beats them all. Could you please explain why you think that? There are a lot of different reasons why the latter-day Harry Potters suck. To make a long story short, WB doesn't seem to care about character development, good music, explaining the plot, portraying the story and the characters well, connection between scenes etc. They seem to have a gift for cutting important parts and coming up with ridiculous film lines. And as for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince... they turned a dark fantasy story into a romantic comedy.
  2. Ahem ahem, let's get back on topic. ^.^ I voted for ''Yes, probably. I can't imagine not to.'' His music is timeless. So yeah, I can see myself listening to John's music when I'm old and wrinkled.
  3. Score: 4 stars. I love this soundtrack. It sounds darker than its two predecessors, which is a good thing since the story gets darker. But it still maintains that magical feeling. Some of my favourite tracks are A Window to the Past, Buckbeak's Flight, Double Trouble and Aunt Marge's Waltz. The track The Knight Bus feels a bit out of place and Apparition on the Train and The Patronus Light are kinda plain. Other than that, great score. Film: 3.5 stars. My favourite Harry Potter film. It's true to the book most of the time. There are a few changes here and there. They could have put more plot into the film. But I love the dark atmosphere and the way the story is depicted. The visual effects were excellent. I like David Thewlis as Lupos and Emma Thompson as Trelawney; they're great actors. Alan Rickman, Rupert Grint and Maggie Smith are brilliant as always. I really don't like Michael Gambon though. He's so unDumbledoreish. The music was superb of course. All in all a good film. Track: A Window to the Past.
  4. Are you serious? I thought it was the worst, alongside with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The last film I watched was Finding Neverland. It was kinda cheesy and predictable, but the music was okay.
