  1. I think that's being a bit harsh. No, it isn't harsh at all. It's totally true. I couldn't have said it better myself. :} Well then maybe I'm watching a different film to you people. Maybe you should just enjoy the film for what it is, and remember the good parts instead of constantly criticising what's "wrong" with it..... I can't enjoy a film when the bad parts have the upper hand. I mean I love the cave scene in HBP and some other parts as well, but that's not enough to make up for the bad parts. Just my opinion. :}

  3. Awesome cover, I really like it. But the original cover will probably have people on it, too bad. =p Why does it take so long for them to pick a composer? Or to reveal which composer they picked...
  4. The soundtrack is okay, but nothing more than that. Some parts are really boring in my opinion.
  5. I don't like Queen at all. I don't think Knights of Cydonia sounded Queenish, but some parts of United States of Eurasia really did (for me, at least). And I felt like the song wasn't complete... the ending was lazy and lame in my opinion. So I really hope ''Collateral Damage'' will finish the song. I'm really looking forward to their new album... Can't wait for those symphonies.
  6. Too Queenish for my taste, and the ending was so lame.
  7. Of course! I am fluent in English, French, German, and Japanese. I speak very little Portuguese and Spanish. Impressive! ^__^ I'm fluent in Dutch, my English is pretty good and I speak some French, German and Portuguese. I'm studying Hebrew on my own now. That's impressive too! Why Hebrew? Do you have a boyfriend from Israel? I'm highly interested in Hebrew, Israel and judaism. I'm not jewish though. ^^ Israelis in the Netherlands are kinda rare. ;P But you didn't exactly answer Josh's question, did you? Damn. Well, it's complicated.

  10. What's sad about that? ^^'' I thought you meant ''weird'' by saying ''interesting''. Excuse me. I liked people of mixed races too! ^.^ Oh, so you're half Japanese! Do you speak (a little bit of) Japanese?
  11. Hey, I can't choose between my nationalities. By the way, there's no such thing as ''a better nationality''. :S So you're half Portuguese, half Dutch? That's an interesting combination! Yes I'm half Portuguese, half Dutch. ^^ And I don't think it's a weird combination... I once met a Brazilian jew with Georgian, Mexican and German roots.
  12. Now, this piece of nugget might be the most useful information in this thread... (BTW, you speak European Portuguese, right? I am a bit conversant in Brazilian Portuguese... not much difference, but I like the BP better! ) Yeah, European Portuguese. It still is pretty much thesame as BP, except for the accent Some parts of the vocabulary and grammar differ too Portugal: Estou a trabalhar Brazil: Estou trabalhando [i'm working] Portugal: O comboio está aqui Brazil: O trem está aqui [The train is here] Portugal: És bonita Brazil: Você é bonita [You're pretty] How do I know? I'm half Portuguese. You already know this, but I felt like sharing with the rest who don't know much about Portuguese. ^^
  13. Something went badly wrong during the quoting process... excuse me for the crap solution I came up with: MSM ''Why not? Don't all seventeen year old girls have one? '' I guess I'm an exception to this rule. ;P Stefan Cosman ''Ik dacht dat meisjes van 17 allemaal op Facebook zaten?'' Ik heb wel een Facebook account! XD En daar ben ik uiteraard lid van de John Williams fanclub. ^_^ Jason LeBlanc ''Hey I'm a 29 year old dude and I loved it'' Well, that's a first!
  14. I have seen some anime, so it's ''safe'' for me to say that Spirited Away is very good. A lot of anime have plain colours and are slow (as in, frames per second), but Spirited Away has beautiful vivid colours and it simply flows. Just take a look at the blue sky in the beginning of the film. Lovely. Oh, and I really like the story. Too bad you don't like the score... I love it. Ik heb geen hyves, helaas
  15. I loved Stardust, but that doesn't say much because I'm a 17-year-old girl. I'm so bad at suggestions but... Do you happen to know Spirited Away? Maybe you'll like it. Great music and beautifully drawn. ^^ http://www.moviemeter.nl/film/4106
  16. Ginny has fancied Harry since Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. As for Harry... maybe it's just a case of 'love at first sight'? But yeah, their relationship kinda came out of the blue. That's why I'm not that fond of it. I liked Harry/Luna better!
  17. That's two more than most members here... Really? The problem is, both aren't good. They're okay I guess. Not very special, but I like listening to them every once in a while.
  18. God, please no. Ron and Hermione were meant to be since the very first day they met. I really don't get those Harry/Hermione shippers...
  19. I don't know about James Horner.. I only own two of his soundtracks; Troy and Titanic. Please don't get mad at me, Hitch. D:
  20. I prefer the PoA version too. And I wish they'd tell us who's gonna score Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. My nerves can't take it any more.
  21. I found these moments very cringeworthy. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a good romantic comedy. I watch Harry Potter films for other reasons though. Maybe that's why I can't stand the last film (and that's putting it mildly). I always think of HBP as a dark story, so I have to disagree with you. Those love plots were present in the book, but the darker side (Voldy's past, the story of the horcruxes, Draco's assignment, stories of people disappearing, stories of people dying) had the upper hand. Those dark elements were spread throughout the whole book, so I don't get why HBP felt light to you. By the way... Yeah they added the destruction of the Burrow, but it didn't make a lot of sense. The Burrow can't be attacked for it's protected by the Minisitry of Magic. They should have picked the big fight at the Astronomy tower. Way more epic and this would have added a climax to the film. Now we have Bellatrix destroying parts of a deserted school. What's the point in that, really?
  22. Well, I said ''they turned a dark fantasy story into a romantic comedy'' and you said you ''sort of felt the opposite way''. Why? Why do you feel that way?
  23. I sort of felt the opposite way. I wonder why.
