  1. I don't own a lot of Williams scores yet, but "A Prayer for Peace" certainly ranks up there for me. "The Immolation Scene" is a piece I really didn't appreciate until I saw it with the film, and how well it works with the images you see.
  2. ^ Yeah, I was about to ask the same thing about Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
  3. Nah, I'm pretty sure that one was saved for me . . .
  4. I have a soft spot for Minority Report. You will be missed . . . . . . and my vote goes to Terminal again.
  5. ^ I agree. The only score Ottman composed that really grabbed me was Usual Suspects. Heck, I even prefer Kamen's score to X-Men 1 over Ottman's X2 score.
  6. So Singer is going ahead with using the theme Williams wrote for the original Superman but alas, he's sticking with John Ottman when it comes to the score. I'm pretty conflicted about this myself. On one hand, I'm kinda pissed they're ripping off Williams because they couldn't come up with something better . . . and on the other hand, I'm glad that they're honoring Williams' classic score because they can't come up with anything better. Thought's anyone? (On a sidenote, I appreciated the balls Batman Begins had to completely scrap Danny Elfman's theme and come up with their own . . . furthermore, I'll join the minority in saying that I think Begins' score kicks the ass of Elfman's Batman score as a whole.)
  7. For me, Terminal makes the bottom list because it's one of three scores on that list I don't own (Sorcerer's Stone and A.I. being the other two) and the one I least appreciated when I saw it with the film. When I get the score, that may or may not change. While we're on the subject, the 3-disc Region 1 release of The Terminal has the score. Does it come with it's own case (like it would if you bought it seperately)? I doubt it, but I'm just curious.
  8. Hey guys. I'm new to the board (obviously) and just wanted to say "Congratulations" to Mr. Williams for his win. Memoirs is a beautiful score and it was a well-deserved award.
