  1. THe film one's fine with the tempo, but the OST one feels more whole and satisfying.
  2. I don't think Mike would take shit like that. I don't think anyone other than LLL would have that kind of power anyway, since it's not coming on Watertower.
  3. I point you to what is now the best JW music info resource on the forum (perhaps the Internet): The spreadsheet says it was originally called "Lost R2", so yes, much less grand.
  4. If WB is not stupid, they'll see there's money in this. Maybe the plan always was to release them individually a few years down the line after "skinning" the ultrafans who had to have all 3, or this was their only was to get 1.
  5. Well, that's part of the buildup for the Stone reveal.
  6. This 100%! Even if it repeats a lot of earlier material, the Chamber theme's usage (helped to some extent by Dobby, Fawkes and some incidental music of course) raises my love of this score to practically the same level as the first one which has pure magic and nostalgia on its side.
  7. You're like Roy trying to make sense of the Vision and the spreadsheet is TV Reveals, which allows you to proceed to The Mountain and beyond!
  8. The question remains why it's short in the LLL sample if it doesn't recreate film edits. Was it rerecorded with the insert? maybe. Is this in the wrong thread? Absolutely!
  9. I presume the end of the original Firebolt has the longer Hedwig sustained note since it's on the OST.
  10. Nevermind I was ninja'd, I was just about to ask whether there are differences between the recordings in the two studios.
  11. I've never seen the original teaser but it did make me incredibly nostalgic.
  12. It may be blind nostalgia for a large part, but every single cue of this score is a highlight to me, they practically all have something great, unique and memorable.
  13. With all due respect for that actual masterpiece, I'd recommend you wait for the set and listen to the score on your own a few times beforehand to get a hang of the new music and its magicalness - let your mind be blown by the music, then blown even more when you read about things you haven't noticed!
  14. Or more, the Arrival cue is much better in full on its own without unrelated ad cues in the middle of it!
  15. 🙄 cue list: Hedwig Tries a Cookie – 0:59 Coke twice misspelled turned into "cookie". It's a minute-long compilation of score material arranged specifically for the coke ad and recorded at the scoring sessions. From Datameister's cue-by-cue breakdown: Hedwig Tries a Cookie – [01:02]This cue is known as “Coke Ad 60s” meaning “60 second Coke Ad.” The title “Hedwig tries a Cookie” i believe is a misrepresentation of what williams had written which may have simply been “Hedwig tries a Coke-ey” but spelled “Cokie” as Williams has a thing for spelling words with “ie” instead of “y” See Arrival of Baby Harry 1:44-2:43
  16. That is also original music JW specifically wrote for it... It was on the OST.
  17. We ARE talking about original music written by JW for the trailers, which will be available on the new set, look at the tracklists.
  18. You confused the two, the teaser is the earlier one scored by a Williams who hasn't seen the film yet and wasn't contracted for it. The trailer is what uses edited performances. At least we can be sure TV ad is Hedwig tries a Coke/Cookie.
  19. The trailer is just an edit from Arrival at Hogwarts and a different performance of the concert Hedwig, podium change level differences. The teaser just shortened the Williams teaser piece as needed I guess.
  20. From "many-limbed creature" motifs to tongueing secrets and Dubsie, this was an absolutely hilarious episode, with some great score bits and comparisons of course! @PoggoAOTS, I think you just got yourselves a listener who never followed any podcasts and only started listening to individual interesting episodes last week. Oh and that finale! Where's the edit of longer Hedwig last note+film Double Trouble insert come from? That's actually my preferred way of having it but the album has no insert and the film has a shorter Hedwig.
  21. The Knight Bus accordion part with pipe organ or something is great!
