I believe the "amateurs" would be those who haven't been able to get the original release, and who have to do with the Perverterance rerelease...

There's probably not much interesting stuff that's not included on the OST.

Star Trek is ... better than any that came after it.
That might be the case if you stopped watching new shows in the 90s.

So when is PJ gonna film The Silmarillion? It would make a great ten part saga.

It's stated somewhere on the internet...

The OST already is long enough. Is there much interesting unreleased music?

That wouldn't be an issue, though. If you were a film composer, wouldn't scoring assignments be all you'd take?
I'd think some film composers would aspire to do concert works, where they in some ways have more artistic freedom.
But some film composers probably don't aspire to such things...

Is JW rubbing Stevie's belly? I didn't know they have such a close relationship...

Like it, or not, the boot is likely to be the most complete score for TWOE, that we'll ever have.
I'm sure we'll get it eventually, but I'm not sure I need it.

The game has changed now where a great deal of film composers are primarily 'film composers' and write solely for film.
I think some of these composers would struggle getting assignments other than film, television, commercials, and video games.

They need a theme song.

You know what we gotta do: buy all the copies.

For serious collectors, the original is the one to own.
I read somewhere that the Perseverance doesn't sound any better.

The Queen understood that many years ago, she never came back since 2002... where her visit in Québec did not well pass...
Then why do you still keep her?

For what it's worth, Perseverence's TWOE sounds much better than the earlier version I had.
Which version was that - the faulty earlier rerelease, or the original Warner release?

I don't really like The Mission - score nor film. The score of course has some beautiful highlights, but as a whole it's not that good - and it has Morricone's trademark Sloppy Counterpoint™, where he just puts two existing themes on top of each other and hopes for the best.
Schindler's List is a much better listening experience, IMO.

There are only four or five film scores on equal footing with The Mission.
Which would that be?

Films or scores?

Why would anyone want to do that?
To figure out exactly which parts of the concert overture JW arranged especially for the, well, concert overture.

No offense, but that's one of the worst JW tracks, IMO. It always makes me think of elevators.
