  1. Correct. And I believe it should be in 3/4. The first note should occur on the "&" of beat 2. The one notable exception in the score is at 1:26 of "Lando's Closet", when it appears to be a single measure of 2/4 with the first note of the theme occurring on the "&" of 1. And then the following bars are back in 3/4. Would you agree? EDIT: Also, the main theme is much better (and more correct, judging from the sheet music pic) written in 9/8, than in 3/4.
  2. I mean, isn't it possible both are correct? After all, even the main theme of the franchise is also considered one particular character's theme.
  3. Wow, is this your site, or someone else's? Either way, excited to read this; looks really in-depth.
  4. Anyone else frustrated by the obnoxious short volume dip at 1:13 of "Marauders Arrive"? I was listening with earbuds and it was painfully obvious; at first thought it was maybe my individual rip of the CD that had a problem, but when I checked Spotify and YouTube, sure enough it was there too.
  5. Swapped out the files with corrected versions; I had the wrong note at the end. And yeah, I also noticed that it ends up adding up to 5/4 (2 bars of 5/8 = 10 eighths = 5 quarters). EDIT: Just noticed the trombone hits that occur under each first note of the pattern. Highly unlikely they would be entering like that on a pick-up; I think they're laying the downbeats. So, yeah, I'm also leaning toward my first option/the 5/4.
  6. Maybe a music-theory-trained member could help me figure this out/let me know what their opinion of this is? @Falstaft @Sharky In "Marauders Arrive", the rhythmic pattern that begins at 0:24: Do you think it's this: ...or this: ? I can hear both possibilities, but I'm trying to figure out if that first note of the pattern is a pick-up or the start of a measure.
  7. Yep, love that one too! Also can't get enough of this minor trumpet progression that happens at 1:24 of "Corellia Chase"... ...and again at 2:23...
  8. Yep. I assume you're referring to "Lando's Closet"? That's the one that stuck out to me, anyways. Any other spots that come to mind?
  9. "Lando's Closet" is the major one that comes to mind. It's the closest thing you'll get to a concert arrangement of the theme. Also features pretty prominently in "The Good Guy".
  10. Try Barnes & Noble? I just ordered an in-store pick-up at a local one. Should (fingers crossed) get a text in an hour or few saying it's ready for me.
  11. Maybe it's because you ordered so early. I considered ordering that early, but I'm not as familiar with Amazon, and kept checking back for the "Want to receive this the day it comes out?" option like they had when I ordered TLJ. When I ordered TLJ, the page had that option and I was able to order the album up to just a few days before release, and still receive it the day of. Which is why I was/am confused that the "day it comes out" blurb never showed up for SOLO. Whatever. Just dumb, as I'd have preordered the thing the day the page went up, if I knew this would happen.
  12. I’m pretty fed up. Kept waiting days and days for a “release date delivery” option to appear on the Amazon page, like with TLJ; none did, so eventually on May 20 I just went ahead and preordered. Kept checking back for updates on tracking my package, but as of yesterday afternoon it still had no estimated delivery date, hadn’t been shipped, nothing. So last night I cancelled the order, rejoined Amazon Prime in the hopes that it would give me the option for release-date-delivery/cheaper faster shipping, and I preordered it a second time. I selected 1-day-shipping, thinking at the very latest I would receive the CD a day late (May 26). Well, it then said that my estimated delivery date would be May 31. I started a chat with customer support to ask what the deal was, and of course there was not much they could do. I’m just confused, as TLJ’s page explicitly had an option to receive the item on release day, and I ordered that one only a couple days before—even closer to release day, than me ordering SOLO on May 20. So I just cancelled the second order too, and I guess now I’ll make a trip to my local Target or someplace in the hopes they have it. I had been eyeing the Amazon page since the day the page went up, waiting for the option I used to get TLJ’s soundtrack, but it never showed up. I really don’t know what the deal is, nor do I know how people are getting the OST on time (let alone early!)?
  13. Would you say he did a better job than Giacchino in ROGUE ONE, or not?
  14. A vid clip from the opening of the film leaked earlier today, and Powell's got a GREAT rendition of the B theme. I'm incredibly excited to see what all he does with it.
