  1. God. I played in a small orchestra when I was a kid, and obviously I (and a lot of my friends) messed up big time, but this is absurd there's literally no one playing the right note! So bad it's good.
  2. I was just losing any hope to see the package arrive today, so I got ready to leave. I went outside to take out the trash and write a note for the postman... when I saw him arrive! The boxset is finally HERE! It’s really big, nicely crafted and absolutely gorgeous! Plus, no damage whatsoever! The wait is over. Can’t wait to dive into the booklets later tonight.
  3. It's funny 'cause my package was labeled as "ready for delivery" this morning. A few hours ago it was "out for delivery". It's 4pm now, and it's still stuck where it was this morning, only now it's "ready for delivery" again. I imagine delivery guys picking my parcel up, watching it closely, saying: "heck yeah it's ready to be delivered: let's deliver it now! Wait, where's the address? A 15 min drive from here? Naaah, let's wait"
  4. He’s probably a WilliamRossFan admin. Joking aside, you are not a JW/HP fan if you didn’t faint when a photo of a certain concert program was posted 😬
  5. Every time I see a picture of the HP boxset I'm like "damn, that thing is huge!"
  6. It’s closer. Two hours ago it was in a post office 20 mins from where I live. No delivery date yet. Classic
  7. Actually, it’s my first time with LLL! But Italian Postal Service is indeed a joke. Silly aliens probably work there, like in MIB2 PS: all this broken teeth ordeal is making me nervous
  8. There's good pizza in other countries too (I tried a really tasty one in London a while ago, I can't remember where), but when I see someone eating frozen or precooked atrocities, or worse overcooked pasta, I wish I could invite him or here to try a real neapolitan pizza or to eat a full meal at my grandma's. But, let's not forget shitty postal service 😡 As for girls, I seriously don't know what British girls are like 😄
  9. I'm curious to see Azkaban in 4K! I must admit, when I discovered the only real 4K HP movies are the first two, and the others are just upscaled ('cause their digital master is in 2K), I was disappointed so I never bought the UHD boxset, and chose the Bluray one instead. But I bet Azkaban in 4K still has bonkers colors and detail!
  10. I found this "estimated delivery period" in a random tracking website. No other website or app says anything about this delay. I think it's probably an exaggerated estimate, plus it makes little to no sense at all, since it was delayed at customs in Milan for days. Why would they send the package to Florence just to delay delivery more? If something was wrong with it, I think it would've stayed in Milan. Italian everything is usually this bad. 😂 Trains, buses, postal service, overall bureaucracy and so on… The only thing I can't complain about is food, landscapes and archeological sites. Pizza is incredible though. Aaaand now I'm hungry.
  11. 17 Dec 18: At sorting center Sesto Fiorentino, Metropolitan City of Florence, Tuscany, Italy Me: "Hooray, it's just forty minutes from my house! Wait--"
  12. I’ll bring this back to the “OSTs vs Expanded” topic; as I said before, this LLL boxset confirms what I already thought.
  13. Er... I already listened to PoA, so... damage is done haha Anyway, it was a self-gift for my birthday (November 27th), so I don’t have to wait I did my waiting!
  14. Mine is in Florence now (40 mins from where I live). Of course I’m not home today 😂
  15. Speaking of The Terminal, postal service is probably like: ”7 discs? Crowded!” Boom: customs.
  16. Even if I already listened to PoA thanks to the web’s own Restricted Section That Should Not Be Named, the day the postman arrives with my boxset (missing kilohertz and whatnot) I’ll probably grab the package like a bird of prey.
  17. My parcel is now at the Postal Operating Center. (Again, whatever that means) but, I still can’t believe I’m gonna see PoA live to projection in less than two weeks! 😍
  18. Noticed that too. Perhaps the cue is just slightly longer and MM didn’t wanna cut it to match the film version? Edit: nevermind, it’s just a different tempo, I listened to it again and it flows fine. Had a similar impression with The Flying Car but I just have to get used to it
  19. My parcel is still floating in customs limbo, but I finally managed to listen to PoA, thanks to The Net. It was a lovely experience. I went for a walk in the countryside, it was cold but sunny, and there were fallen leaves everywhere. What can I say? The OST didn’t even begin to outline how complex, weird and diverse this score is. Such a great soundtrack. Compared to HP1 (which I love) or HP2, it’s a bid odd assembly of tracks ‘cause a lot of cues are short, disconnected and transitional, but it’s really an incredible and massive tapestry of sounds, and some track combos are quite enjoyable. I will surely let it sink in and listen to it a lot from now on, so I can put some more thoughts to words. Every minor issue (yes, even the absence of the shawm) disappears when listening to this masterpiece. The only thing that left me puzzled is the already mentioned WTTP overlay in Lupin’s Transformation: sound like two unrelated cues squashes together, and I think I have to get used to it. As for the infamous frequency cutoff, I tried putting the infamous cues (OST and LLL) side by side, switching from one to the other and, well: I might be hearing impaired but I really can’t hear the difference, even with big ass fancy headphones with good frequency response, so... guess adult males actually can’t hear shit above 15khz after all! (that 5 second shawm loop though 😭)
  20. About the frequency cutoff: humans in optimal conditions have a 20-20000hz hearing range, yes, but I discovered today the threshold increases at 15000 Hz in adults (especially male). Whoa, didn't expect it. This means I probably won't notice anything
