  1. Hey everyone, Not sure how many of you might have previously heard of this, but I just came across a Keith Lockhart-conducted Boston Pops performance of both "Men of Yorktown" from Midway and "Night Journeys" from Dracula. The Midway selection is particularly nice in my opinion, and is extended and revised from a previously known incarnation. The performances were the opening pieces from a recorded concert on WGBH which featured Broadway star Sutton Foster. Probably slipped under our radar since the concert was not intended to highlight John Williams. Even more intriguing is that the concert narrator mentioned that both pieces are being recorded for a future release celebrating John Williams' legacy, so certainly something to look forward to. Link to the channel is below (expand all of the concert links and click on the "Sutton Foster" one). Enjoy! http://www.wgbh.org/programs/The-Boston-Symphony-Orchestra-in-Concert-1641
  2. Recently a member of this forum sayed what I suspected, that the sound quality of the original vinyl of Dracula is far superior than the sound of the 1990 CD reissue. So I look for good WAV rips of a mint copy of this vinyl. I will select the best tracks from each vinyls you'll sent me and digitally restore them. Please message me in private I you wan to contribute! As Dracula is always forgotten when it's the time to reissue John Williams albums (because the original tapes are known to be lost in time)... we'll manage it ourselves! Dracula, we don't forget you!!! Émanuel
  3. Have you stumbled upon a bargain? Post if here so your fellow JWfans can take advantage of it! The Prince & The Pauper is not among my favorite Korngold scores, but I think it's one of his better ones. I couldn't resist getting it for 7 Euros: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B002FOFYQE/ref=pe_3044141_185740131_TE_item
