APBez 11
For those who live in the U.K., the score to the BBC documentary 'The Blue Planet' will be performed live by a 76-piece orchestra, conducted by composer George Fenton, in the U.K. over the Christmas period this year.See www.theblueplanetlive.comI believe it's been performed live on a number of occasions before but I love this score so am really excited to see it in concert.APBez
Greg1138 3
It has indeed been done several times.......but it's great, and well worth the ticket price......Greg - who saw it a while back - but would like to see it again.......

Saxbabe 28
Thread bump! I may be going to see this tomorrow in Houston, hopefully...For those who have seen it, what was the breakdown as far as music from The Blue Planet/Deep Blue? I read somewhere that Fenton had worked up arrangements for the concerts...does anyone remember sort of what cues appear? Is it as one long piece or structured as several suites? And how long is it total? Is there an intermission? -Greta
