TheDarkOrb 0
Question for all you smart JW fans here...I have read that the "London Studio Orchestra" has recorded the new score for the upcomming "Rebuild of Evangelion" remake and makes a remark that it was also recorded in Abby Studios. Is the "London Studio" the same orchestra as the London Symphony Orchestra, who helmed all the Star Wars soundtracks?
Datameister 2,073
I don't know for sure, but I'm almost certain that they're not the same group. The LSO is a well-established, eminent group of musicians. Studio orchestras are generally smaller and less refined, with musicians coming and going more frequently. I think in some cases studio orchestras are literally just gathered together for specific purposes.
Greg1138 3
If I remember rightly - the London Studio Orchestra are the ones responsible for a slew of cheap (and poor) recordings in the uk....budget CD's, budget orchestra, budget sound....augmented by badly sounding synths....as Miguel will attest to (remember that Hymn to the Fallen, Miguel?)
