I've enjoyed all the Messiaen works that are rarely performed (especially Et Exspecto Resurrectionem Morturoum by the France National Orchestra under Myung-Whun Chung, as well as the whole opera St Francis of Assisi by the Netherlands Opera), and the 2 olympic concerts that featured Chen Yi's Olympic Fire (world premiere), Torke's Javelin and Adams' Chairman Dances. The NYPhil concerts were awesome too (Stucky, Stravinsky, Gershwin...).It's over now... until next year, which will be hopefully even better.
