EDIT: It has already started. Stupid tv guide.

If you haven't watched this annual British spectacle before, give it a try. You might like it :|

Rule Britannia! :spiny:

You just gotta love the music at 3:34 when the camera focuses on the Timpani!

we don't really worry about brit history GE, it became unimportant after 1776, except for the lend lease acts

Prom in America are high school dances, much more important than a concert to the avg teenager. (its a chance for many to get laid for the first time)

They arrived, killed in Indians replaced them with black slaves, defeated Hitler and Al Capone and then Reagan came to power.

The End!

Yeah, well, at least we gave the world more than just wood shoes and dikes...:|

It has been a great Proms season this year. I've enjoyed all the Messiaen works that are rarely performed (especially Et Exspecto Resurrectionem Morturoum by the France National Orchestra under Myung-Whun Chung, as well as the whole opera St Francis of Assisi by the Netherlands Opera), and the 2 olympic concerts that featured Chen Yi's Olympic Fire (world premiere), Torke's Javelin and Adams' Chairman Dances. The NYPhil concerts were awesome too (Stucky, Stravinsky, Gershwin...).

It's over now... until next year, which will be hopefully even better.

Yeah Joey, I um... know what an American prom is.

What that has to do with the BBC Proms, I have absolutely no idea.

a prom is a dance, not an American dance.
