It also was clearly not a good idea to let Rick Berman and Brent Spiner screw around with the Star Trek mythos. It should have become clear not long into production that a shitload of people needed to be fired, but Berman was a nimrod at that point. Anyway, the box office earnings made sure of that. The Enterprise theme used for the E is a universe full of wrongs not to mention just lazy on Jerry's part. I said before it was probably a result of his cancer but when knows.
