Miguel Andrade 1,263
"To Lenny! To Lenny" wasn't included neither on the concert, nor on the broadcast. This is a rebroadcast from earlier in the season and included the exact same selections as in the original broadcast (which by the way wasn't broadcast live). Williams did conduct the piece as an encore at his annual Film Night concerts. aescalle
aescalle 122
I and a friend, we did a recording and I was a bit disappointed 😉 finaly we had the "Divertimento" for orchestra instead of "Lenny to Lenny" (also recorded the last Film Night 2018 program) But it was a nice bernstein Celebration I have a question for you Miguel: Do you think the 19th Tanglewood concert will be broadcast (2:30pm)? https://www.bso.org/Performance/Detail/93195/ SUNDAY, 2:30 PM
Miguel Andrade 1,263
The Friday, Saturday and Sunday concerts are all scheduled for broadcast, with the exception of live to film ones -- like last evening's West Side Story, hence the rebroadcast of the Pops concert from May. So, yes, the concert of August 19th is scheduled for broadcast. The Divertimento recording presented after the concert was recorded by Williams and the Pops in 1985. aescalle
