JMan 0 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Today was just in one word....unbelievable! Me and my sister went into this room that held maybe 200 people...not to big, and watched Maestro John Williams talk and converse with the audience for 2 hours! Some very good questions were asked although I cant remember lots of specific ones, right now. At the end, I got up to get an autograph and the time was really cutting short because he only had 15 min to do sign. Anyway, I ended up meeting John Williams and talking to him for a brief minute while he signed my Boston Pops, Spielberg/Williams Collaboration CD. He saw my hat I was wearing which had the name of my school, Hartt School of Music on it. He didnt say much but it felt cool knowing he has an honorary doctorate from there! Very nice guy! Extremely intelligent and inspiring! Oh Man! What an awesome day!
HPFAN_2 0 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 You didn't mention JWFan.net??? I'm starting to think that's a good thing.
tony69 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 agreed. "who is hotter? john williams or jerry goldsmith?" or "when do you think john williams will die?" Haha, if Johnny read this site, he'd be like whoa.
rsp3studio 1 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 As I posted recently, I met him today as well, and had him sign a CD too. Perhaps you saw me?
hisgirlfriday 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I took 3 pictures with my camera phone. Theyre not great and in one of them hes wiping his nose.... but still second row.. not to bad. I opted not to stand in line as I forgot my Sabrina CD and didnt think being friends with mark was enough to introduce myself.. so I left. But I appreciated and wanted to talk to those who sat in front of me in the first row.
Luke Skywalker 2,385 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I took 3 pictures with my camera phone. Theyre not great and in one of them hes wiping his nose...I hope that is not an euphemism for 'digging'...
Jeshopk 8 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Let us not forget the few zingers he threw out there. He has a good sense of humor.Moderator: I'm looking for a woman (to call on during the Q&A)JW: So am I! (Then commented while laughing that his wife Samantha wouldn't appreciate that)JW: Sometimes in films the love scene you're composing for doesn't go on as long as you'd like it to....it might be 2 minutes instead of 4 minutes.....kind of like in real life.
JMan 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 That was fantastic. Although that 2 min instead of 4 mins was kinda racy!
JMan 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 He is an old 'green' grandpa green grandpa?
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 It's not easy being green.Marian - :? Damien: Omen II (Jerry Goldsmith)
Luke Skywalker 2,385 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 aw i thought i could translate from spanish...here a green joke is a joke involving sex and things like that...Green 'grandpas' are those typical old men that cannot think in other things than sex...I was just joking eh?, JW is nice Luke, who will banned for sure...
Jeshopk 8 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Someone on some blog described their experience at the lecture, and they said I sat in front of them and kissed my wife too much! At first I felt sad that I was noticed. Like a sort of public freak. Then I realized I only gave her a few pecks on the hand or cheek BEFORE the lecture started, so its not like I was making out or anything! But this blogger said Williams was an aphrodisiac and she wanted to jump the old woman next to her.
JMan 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 Oh jeez I didnt know that. Williams DOES have his mind in the gutter!
