Could someone post the track list for the Hook Recording Sessions?

I believe that the one mentioned must be the first bootleg that surfaced, I believe around 1999. That one had a poorer sound and only circulated on CD-R format.

Shortly after a pressed bootleg came around. Acording to some reliable sources, the source for this bootleg was a Academy promo.

Both were 2 CD sets.

The later 3 and 4 CD sets are fan made, and include rips from the DVD.

Somehow I doubt the source for the pressed bootleg is an Academy promo.You can hear it was heavily dehissed,it was probably the first bootleg cleaned up.

I know Mark. I had it from a hightly reliable source that it came from a promo. Not that it make it true... The sound is too bad to be official, but still...

Anyhow, I accept it as a possibility.

Well, the real question then becomes, is the first one sourced from the academy promo because most of the Hook tracks I've experienced are delightfully out of tune.

I've experienced this with tape rips as I once tried to rip both Accidental Tourist and Titanic from their tapes becuase I couldn't get the CD's. The effect I got was almost the same. Dead, de-hissed sound and off pitch.

The whole story behind the bootlegs confuses me but as for what the track list is... I posted it in a hook thread I did a while back. There seems to be some confusion over what exactly a lot of the supposed alternate tracks are but the reality is most are just more complete versions of released/other tracks.

I'd have to find that thread again though...

Well,it might have been recorded from the Promo on a cassette tape ,which was used for some time then became the source of the bootlegs...or something like that

All I'm saying it's not a direct c.d. quality rip from a Promo,even if it came from that originally.In those days it wasn't that easy to make a direct digital transfer yet.

I agree with KM on this one. It was probably a transfer from the master tapes or in this case an Academy Promo CD to a cassette tape then transfered from the cassette tape to the computer. Whoever ripped the score probably didn't have the proper equipment to do it. Now a days most of your complete scores come directly from the session masters or composers DAT and 90% of them have top quality sound to them.

Edit: Also a lot if not most of your complete scores will generally have the original track title names for the cues.

Perhaps... but at the same time, I noticed in my study of the score, a lot of supposed "alternated" were just the album recordings missing a few seconds. You could even hear the edits at times which is one of the stranger things.

Also, the ability of the track names to remain pure is somewhat speculative but I know that the edit that I started working on, I tried to keep some of the names but at the same time, it proved confusing because the same cue might have several.
