Kevin 23 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 You know everyone lies on the internet, it's common fact. You can't tell when people are lying or not. But when it is found out that people are lying, the results can be hilarious. My example is from MovieMusicUK's message board from a while ago. I was a guest at the time (not a registered member) but it was comical that this person lied about being Marc Shaiman's protege and people quickly found out that the person was full of it. I feel sorry for the schmuck who believed him in the first place. This example might be a little old but I still think it can be relevant.http://mmuk64.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=3452&page=1(Some of you may have seen this already).
Ollie 1,375 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Yeah I read through when you posted the link at FSM. What a hilarious read.

Trent B 354 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Since I was bored I decided to read that entire thread. People should know better these days that if anyone makes outlandish claims like that guy did it will eventually get back to the original person, especially if that person is a composer or works in the industry. I find it cool (but funny at the same time) that Marc Shaiman himself posted in that thread basically debunking everything that Andrew person posted.I do agree that some people forget how small of a community the film score music community is, especially in the industry. Also that some people have direct contact with composers.
