As I've repeatedly said here and elsewhere - for whatever reasons Botnick added reverb to an orchestra recorded in an already airy room - it didn't need one iota of extra verb because the room was spacious and had a gorgeous natural reverb. Then Mr. Botnick added a TON or reverb to the choir - they need reverb but not a TON - so when you add the overly-reverbed choir to the overly reverbed orchestra you get a big wash of nothingness and a band that sounds distant. We used the three-track analogue tapes, which provided a real musical sound rather than a harsh digital one from 1986. We added no extra verb to the orchestra and we added reasonable verb to the choir - the result is that the orchestra has great clarity where it formerly didn't, and the choir can be heard and understood now.

All copies went out Tuesday morning, which, may I remind you, Jason, was close to four weeks ahead of schedule. No, we don't do shipping notices - we are not a retail store like SAE and are not set up to do that. We actually have the best customer service anywhere, but if you're more comfortable ordering from SAE then do it. SAE couldn't have sent out any shipping notices before today (Friday) because they didn't get their stock until today, which is why everyone who buys from us normally gets their stuff earlier. If you got a "you made a payment" notice at the end of your transaction, then we got the order. How long it takes once it leaves us is anyone's guess, thanks to an erratic USPS. Some people got them on Wednesday, some yesterday some today and so it will go. We have tracking information on every package we send. Patience is a nice quality to have especially when buns are being busted to get things out as much ahead of the shipping date as possible. For example, A Place in the Sun, which sold out more quickly than Missouri, is shipping on Tuesday, almost the full five weeks ahead of the shipping date.
Now, for anyone who missed the title, we will have some extras - we always hold back copies in case anything gets damaged or lost in the mail, and once we know what that story is we can let the emergency copies be sold. So, if anyone missed out just drop an e-mail to kritzerland at gmail dot com and we'll make sure you get one as soon as we know what's what.

If any label is going to print more copies it will be us - I have an agreement about that, which is how we did the Encore edition of Carrie - believe me others were nosing around that title just as I'm sure they'll be nosing around this, although, that said, I'm just not sure how many more sales there would be. If we'd done 1500 of them we wouldn't have sold a 1000 by this point - that's just how it goes, I'm afraid.
It's shipping Tuesday morning. We were hoping for today, but the holiday last week really slowed things up.
