  1. I'd agree, it's a very hard choice between The Untouchables and The Last Emperor but I would rate both higher than Empire of the Sun. And yet, watching the Cadillac of the Skies scene still gives me goosebumps!

  3. Hi fellow John Williams lovers, thanks for having me here! I've been a fan of John's work since I first saw Raiders sometime in the mid 80s. I was shivering next to my dad at the spiders and seeing Toht's face melt gave me nightmares for weeks. Great times! I think it was 1992 that I got my first CD for my birthday. I had specifically asked for it, number one on the list, and I was so happy when I unwrapped it: The Spielberg - Williams Collaboration.   4. Hi folks, first time post here. Great to join a community of people who love John's music as much as I do That said, just wanted to say that most of these choices are easy, but I struggled with 1987. I love John's work but I'm a lover of film music in general and I have to say Sakamoto's work on The Last Emperor was very good. And another of my favorite scores is in there as well, Morricone's Untouchables. Then again, Empire of the Sun is absolutely fantastic. One of those years that deserves more than one winner I think
