  1. I have been there about four times since the restructuring of the site, and there has been nobody there. I suppose it works.
  2. Oh, yes. It's old. I must have read it four times at least. It was a great interview. One of the best interviews, but very old.
  3. What a good idea!!! It's better than the Vader/Dooku confrontation.
  4. No one you mentioned (excepting Giacchino), they can't hold a candle to John Williams. I like Debney and McNeely when they conduct the Royal Scottish, but their scores are not very good... JW's successor doesn't need to write music in the same John Williams style (like Thomas Newman, for example, but I don't like him). Only time will tell it.
  5. I quote my own post so as to continue with the game.
  6. Yes, you did! Williams recorded for a second time "Call of the Champions" during a break of AotC recording sessions. That's fantastic! They could include it on the expanded edition of AOTC soundtrack!!!!! :wow: scissorhands - whose favorite olympic hymn is CALL OF THE CHAMPIONS
  7. Que dios les vendiga, y también a TODAS las demás víctimas de cualquier terrorismo. Bendiga se escribe con B, B de Bless. -ROSS, exasperado con estos errores cada vez mas frecuentes y finalizando el que sera su unico mensaje en español. You are right, Mr. Perfect. más y único con tilde/acento, por favor LOL
  8. SUNG BY SING I don't understand how Don Davis arranged In the Moonlight for Sting, because, in fact, (In the) Moonlight (instrumental) was a version of the song. What was first: the song of the instrumental composition? the egg or the chicken? Explain it to me, please.
  9. Que dios les vendiga, y también a TODAS las demás víctimas de cualquier terrorismo. Today, I suggest listening to a Williams theme: HYMN TO THE FALLEN
  10. Conan the Barbarian., by Basil Poledouris. Well, let's continue (this time easier): THE WORLD OF THE HEART (It's the main theme of a great score composed by......guess it) Again, it's not a Williams score.
  11. Oh, no, worst in a decade and a half. THE WORST SCORE SINCE STANLEY & IRIS. Repetitive, wearisome, no original.... and I like only one thing: Hedwig's theme. The rest.....
  12. I can wait for this score not two months, but two years. If it's as dissapointing as the first score (the worst Williams work since.......I can't remember, but more than a decade), I don't know if I'll buy it. Well, perhaps (well, sure) I'll buy it for Williams' works completism. Moreover only 45 minutes are composed by him, and he doesn't conduct it, so I have no special desire to see it. And the film..........the first one was really bad, also disappointing. I won't see it. I won't spend my money on it. (only if Williams appears in the DVD extras, but it won't happen). scissorhands - who doesn't like, nor mind Harry Potter
  13. I think it's the only part of this film that is worst than the animated movie version (Bakshi). But we have also (at least) two EXACT sequences, copied from Bakshi's film: when the four hobbits, hidden in the tree, see the Ringwraith for the first time; and when the ringwraiths goes to the Poney... and break the beds. LOL It's a bit pathetic, yes. I liked that movie very much, but I didn't pay attention to the music. Next time I'll do.
  14. Tim Burton is one of them, for example. Seamless branching could be an appropriate way. But, if I'm not wrong, with that technique I don't know whether it's possible to do with the Special Edition films. In common films (Independence Day, etc.) some sequences are inserted, but with Star Wars, if you insert an old version scene, you have to delete the Special Edition one. Maybe it's possible, I don't know. But I'm sure that there are many different ways to have the two versions of the film; well, the two versions we know at least, 'cause be sure Lucas will change many things for the DVD.....
  15. I ADORE Total Recall. One of the best Goldsmith's works. BTW, I think that the Smeagol flashback should have appeared in FOTR, in the Elrond Council, which I think is the biggest loss of the film: where is Bilbo? It's one of the best moments of the book, when he says: "Well, the old hobbit Bilbo started this, and he will have to finish it...". Unforgivable.
  16. You are a man? :wow: I thought you were a woman (my aunt's name is....Marian!!!, and I know many people named....yes, Marian; a very common name) scissorhands - changing his preconceptions
  17. What a surprise!!! You voted for "SAURONMAN" I hoped that. scissorhands - who can see a strong cohesion and coherence in Marian's posts (and very good argumentations), though I don't agree with her
  18. I think it's a false information. I don't believe the date, neither the special features: very few for such a long time to prepare them (amongst other reasons, it's Lucasfilm's most important jewell after SW, and moreover, they would be the ones who would give the information, etc.) I think, hope, wish it was false. Indiana Jones film deserve the best, and that's not the best.
  19. I am also very forgetful. But read this: "We allow just one vote per user, per day" So that's the rule. You can vote everyday. If they had wanted to prevent the re-voting, they wouldn't have written this. But I agree. Better with a single vote.
  20. RIGHT! RIGHT! RIGHT! When this theme appears for the first time, it's pleasant. Then it accompanies the horror moments. But in the end credits.....children chorus singing AAAH AH AH AAAH.......and those last devilish laughs.......
  21. Ah, I forgot the reason: each performance is so different, and like them so much, that I can't decide.
  22. I won't vote on this poll. I am very happy with the "resurrection" of Christopher Lee for cinema. First was Sleepy Hollow, and now: FOTR, TTT, ROTK, Episode II and Episode III.
  23. I have remembered one (or three) more: HARRY GREGSON-WILLIAMS & JOHN POWELL, in Antz, Chicken Run and Shrek.
