  1. Well, I wasn't referring to electric guitar. But if you want I will include it.
  2. Guitar....eh..... Please, help me. I want to do a poll with the best pieces with guitar. I have two: Trio-The Meeting from Jane Eyre The Days Between from Stepmom And, as you have said: Trouble in Town (for example) from Rosewood Please, only write the titles, don't make any commentary, you will do it in my poll. Thanks.
  3. I arranged it for piano, but only the half of the main theme, 'cause I began to bore..... Yours has to be fantastic. Good luck. And Rosewood...well, it's not a perfect score, and sometimes you fed up with those chorus (oh, glory, oh, glory, allelujah.......), but I like it, the only instrumental parts above all.
  4. BLASPHEMER!!!!!!! Amistad MASTERPIECE (it's in my top 10) Seven Years in Tibet MASTERPIECE (in my top 20) The Lost World MASTERPIECE (even better than the first one, in my top 15) Rosewood (really good, in my top 40.....) And no, I don't like gospel. But Rosewood is not only gospel.
  5. I totally agree, UCFK. When I listened to the soundtrack the first time, I was very disappointed, mainly 'cause I had seen a video in January with Williams in the recording sessions, and the music was incredible, and I thought: if it's only a part, how will be the rest? But that was a coincidence (or not): it was one of the best parts: the Meadow Picnic, when it's played the best love theme of the soundtrack. So I was disappointed, but I thought there would be missing a lot of tracks. So I was careful with this score. When we get the complete edition (the sooner the better, please), I'll compare it with the rest of the pentalogy. Meanwhile, I say it's the worst, but with certain reservations.
  6. No.BTW. When shall we have the privilege to see an avatar of Figo? or a signature?
  7. Agree, Indysolo. Figo, where do you get them. scissorhands - who can only find this one
  8. Oh, yes. Moreover, don't you think that Lost World's LUDLOW'S DEMISE and Harry Potter's QUIDDITCH MATCH have the same theme?
  9. I don't know where it is. But I know another one: Joel McNeely's JAWS, 7th track: Ben Gardner's Boat, 2 minutes and 55 seconds. You can hear the Psycho motif (it's curious, as in the original soundtrack it doesn't sound like that motif) LOL LOL LOL
  10. Well, in only four days..... I also like Rosewood. It went unnoticed in the GREAT year of Amistad, Lost World, Star Wars re-release and Seven Years in Tibet.
  11. You can take anything that's not the (Korngold-esque) symphonism. MECHA WORLD from A.I. THE STREETS OF SHANGHAI from Empire of the Sun TRIO-THE MEETING from Jane Eyre HELL'S KITCHEN from Sleepers AUGIE'S GREAT MUNICIPAL BAND from TPM ANN AND GABRIEL from The Patriot Every track of The Lost World SETTING THE TRAP from Home Alone and many more
  12. You should have seen the previous pictures. If you can remember, he was with his baton conducting. They were great, but they were also the same photographs you could find in any site. This new one, I think, is a candid photo, and you will hardly find it anywhere else(correct me if I'm wrong).
  13. No, i think it's OK. He looks younger than in the other pics
  14. But what does Tolkien music mean? Does anyone know it? It should be something of the Middle Ages, but what is that? I don't think it's gaelic music, for example. And Shore's score has some gaelic reminiscences.
  15. Or he could use word-less chorus pieces (empire of the sun, A.I......) And what did Leonard Rosenman do with his LOTR? Moooordooooor......mooooordoooooor...... when the Ringwraiths appear. But with the last battle scenes, he used his name backwards. Very original. It's not elven, but it's great. scissorhands - defender of Rosenman's LOTR
  16. You already look like an alien. You can't be a MAN IN BLACK, mr. Jackson.
  17. You already look like an alien. You can't be a MAN IN BLACK, mr. Jackson.
  18. That's it. A sequel was not necessary, right. But money is money......wait, Columbia hasn't earnt anything with this film (20% for Will Smith, 20% Tommy Lee Jones, 12,5% Sonnenfeld and 7,5% Spielberg), It has not been profitable for Sony. But, why have they done the movie? Well, in the future, these 2 actors and directors will give the favour back to Sony (film, production or whatever). And Sonnenfeld says: We will do MIIIB, but there won't be enough money in this world to produce it.
  19. Here you have two composers for FOTR: Basil Poledouris James Newton Howard I think they would have done a great work. And Alex North.......if this film had been done twenty years ago......it would have been one of the best score ever........oh, yes........Oh! :wow: This film was done twenty-five years ago! Leonard Rosenman!!!!! What a great score!!!! scissorhands - always defending Rosenman's LOTR
  20. Well, click on http://www.foxinternational.com/minorityreport/sites/ and you will be able to see the international release date. If I'm not wrong, yours is on September 26th, Stefancos. BTW, I've read that Collin Farrel will be Batman in Wolfgang Petersen's Batman VS. Superman.
  21. It's a coincidence. Those are also my two fav Zimmer scores. (TRL better than GLADIATOR)
  22. Oh, it doesn't matter. Figo and I were only asking about Dante's other works..... Spanish? Oh, maybe.....puede que sí...... I'll have to write my location
  23. ¿Qué coj......? eeeeh..... Ah: what kind of REPLY is this, CharlieSherry?
  24. Nonsense: Harry Potter a grammy and not an Oscar due to its purity (eh?) ? FOTR deserved that oscar? A more appropiate composer for the LOTR trilogy: JOHN WILLIAMS NO DOUBT
