Hello, fellow John Williams / film music fans,
Some of you may be already familiar with my portrait of the maestro in action, painted back in 2018. It received a highly positive response at the time, including numerous requests for copies which led to a limited edition frameable print being produced. Unfortunately I underestimated demand and it sold out almost immediately, leaving a number of fans disappointed that they were unable to get one.
A number of buyers also commented that they wished the print, which was A3 (420mm x 297mm / 11.7 x 16.5 inches), was bigger, and hoped that one day I might consider releasing a larger version. Well, I’m pleased to announce that this day has finally arrived. I recently had the chance to have the original included in an art gallery exhibit, a process that involved valuing it (£779 British pounds, if anyone wants the original, which is 1000mm x 700mm on a wooden framed stretched canvas!) and having it scanned for cataloguing. This new scan was executed with equipment designed to capture the texture of the paint and canvas.
From this, a larger print has now been produced on A2 (594mm x 420mm / 16.5 x 23.4 inches), double the size of the first. It is printed on 250gsm premium white silk art stock, and incorporates a slight border to enhance its appearance in a frame, which includes a further tribute to the Maestro’s legendary status with a graphic representation of his many major award nominations and wins.
Only 25 copies are available worldwide. Each copy will be hand-signed and numbered by myself and costs £65 (Great British Pounds). Availability is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. As a bonus, each order will also receive two free A3 bonus prints, featuring portraits of legendary composers Bernard Herrmann and Jerry Goldsmith (in these cases both unsigned and unnumbered).
The prints will be sent in a sturdy mailing tube. Postage and packaging materials will be at cost, using Royal Mail Parcelforce for the UK and Royal Mail International Standard Airmail elsewhere as default. Insured and tracked options can be provided, but these vary by destination and can be expensive so please ask for a quote before ordering if you require such a service.
The default costs are as follows:
For UK buyers P&P is £5.50 (total = £70.50)
For Europe P&P is £6 (total = £71)
For Asia, Canada & South America P&P is £9 (total = £74)
For Australia and New Zealand P&P is £10 (total £75)
For USA P&P is £12 (total £77 – sorry, my friends in the US, this is down a surcharge on imported packages imposed by the Trump administration to deter US citizens from buying from abroad, which to date the Biden administration hasn’t reversed).

Please head the email JOHN WILLIAMS A2 PRINT for ease of identifying orders, and include your postal address and the email address associated with your Paypal account within your message. Payment must be via Paypal, sorry, following some issues using alternative methods. I will then send you a digital invoice via Paypal and post the print within a day or two of payment being received.
The 25 successful customers will be informed via email, but please keep in mind there can be differences in time zones, and also that I’m a full-time carer, so don’t worry if I don’t get back immediately thanks! If the run sells out, those who are too late will likewise be notified via email.
