  1. Regarding Hooper's efforts..... I think Potter 5 has some really nice bits of score. Highlights would have to be: - - Fireworks - Professor Umbridge - Another Story - Dumbledore's Army - The Room Of Requirement - A Journey To Hogwarts - The Ministry Of Magic - Flight Of The Order Of The Phoenix Potter 6 also has some decent highlights, but I don't like it as much as Potter 5. Potter 5 always sounds more "Potterish" (a new word?!) than 6 does, to me anyway. Potter 6 highlights (there's probably more I haven't remembered): - - In Noctem - The Story Begins - Ginny - Wizard Wheezes - Living Death - Ron's Victory - The Weasley Stomp 'In Noctem' sounds like it's from The Tudors or something like that (not a bad thing! ) The real problem is that Potter 5 and 6 don't use 'Hedwig's Theme' enough, even when the movie is screaming out for it!
  2. What? You mean you like other scores as well as Star Wars?! I was only joking. You can't beat HP1, 2 and 3. 4 is good (but not as good), 5 is passable and 6 is just.....well.....it has some nice highlights but that's about it.
  3. I couldn't care less who scores them. Every Potter score so far has been atrocious!
  4. I wondered when this was coming. No surprises it came from you KM.
  5. It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year by Andy Williams!
  6. Back To The Future. Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan. Airplane! is good too, but I can only listen to it for short periods of time before I get bored, unlike the other two^. Star Trek . Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest & Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End. Oh wait..........
  7. Yep, that's the version I've got too.
  8. Actually, it's, "YOU MUTATED SONOFAB****!" Get your expletives right, whydoncha? - Uni I know that, but the other one sounds funnier.
  9. For those of you that have the release (and have listened to it) already, what's the situation with the "Peabody Barn / Marty Ditches DeLorean" cue? I'm of the opinion that there's three pieces of music that make up this cue? 1) - When Marty originally 'crash-lands' in the barn. 2) - When Marty smashes through the barn in the DeLorean, trying to escape ("YOU SPACE B*****D! ") This is a great play on the main theme. 3) - When Marty stops to look at the new housing development. Are these three pieces joined ok?
  10. Definitley one of the highlights. I can never work out/remember why it's called "If They Ever Did". I realised what it meant about three years ago and now I've forgotton again!
  11. Hurrah! Finally! Nah, the whole prologue/main title section is marvellous, as is all the music from "Doc's Gone" to the end.
  12. I've always quite liked The Fugitive for some reason. My Parents have already bought me Back To The Future for Christmas. Wonder if I can persaude them to get me this too.....
  13. It doesn't seem to matter which thread you're reading on this board, but someone always manages to drag the conversation back to, either: - 1) - John Williams is the best composer ever and no-one else will ever be as good, regardless of how marvellous their efforts are. 2) - Star Wars. 3) - Hans Zimmer is nowhere near as good as anyone else. Regardless of anyone else's opinion, I think Back To The Future is one of the best film scores ever written. It's certainly in my top 5. It also seems that I'm not alone in thinking this.....
  14. Thanks Maurizio. Can't wait to listen to it. Doesn't look like they'll be too many stupid edits either!
  15. No, I don't hate it anymore. The whole franchise has certainly grown on me (especially since that Williams concert here in the UK). Still not a patch on Star Trek though! Yeah I've heard AOTC, but I don't like it as much as BTTF. Perhaps my first statemant was a bit strong, but unless the music's been composed, conducted, compiled and copyrighted by John Williams, KM just doesn't want to know! What's that got to do with anything? I was born in 1988, which makes me a pretty well-humoured (sometimes) 21 year old. Just because I wasn't born the year the film/music was released doesn't mean I can't like/love it! I love Star Trek: The Motion Picture, but I wasn't born when that was released either.....
  16. Back To The Future is LIGHTYEARS ahead of that Attack Of The Clones rubbish!
  17. That will be at the end of "Tension / The Kiss", surely?
  18. Maybe people don't want to trail through God-knows-how-many pages to find out what the new release/releases are. MODS: If you are planning on locking this thread, please move my long post to the Intrada thread. Thanks.
  19. Ok, so I'm guessing CD 1 will be like this: - 01. Logo - What logo? The Universal Pictures one? 02. DeLorean Reveal - I'm guessing this will be the same as "The Delorean Revealed" from the high-necked footwarmer and "A Time Machine?." 03. Einstein Disintegrated - Probably the same as "Einstein Disintegrates" and "The World's First Time Traveller." 04. '85 Twin Pines Mall - Probably the same as "The Libyans". 05. Peabody Barn / Marty Ditches Delorean - Hopefully the first half will contain the "Tales From Space" segment, and "Barn Door Exit" before continuing with the "Ditching The DeLorean" part. 06. '55 Town Square - Presumably the same as "The Town Square". 07. Lorraine's Bedroom - Probably the same as "Good Ol' 1955". 08. Retrieve DeLorean - Probably the same as "The DeLorean Retrieved". 09. 1.21 Jigowatts (Isn't it spelt Gigawatts?) - Probably the same as "1.21 Gigawatts?!" 10. The Picture - Unsure about this. Could this be the "Science Fiction Theatre" segment? If so, then what is the next track? Unused score? 11. Picture Fade - Unsure about this. Could this be the "Science Fiction Theatre" segment? If so, then what is the previous track? Unused score? 12. Skateboard Chase - Probably the same as "Skateboard Hero", BUT will it contain the opening hit as heard in the film (similar to "Hoverboard Chase" from Part II)? The high-necked footwarmer didn't have it..... 13. Marty's Letter - Got to be the same as.....erm....."Marty's Letter". 14. George To The Rescue: Part I - I know which music this is, but I can't remember the track titles from the high-necked footwarmer! 15. Marvin Be-Bop - I know which music this is, but I can't remember the track titles from the high-necked footwarmer! 16. George To The Rescue: Part II - I know which music this is, but I can't remember the track titles from the high-necked footwarmer! 17. Tension / The Kiss - I know which music this is, but I can't remember the track titles from the high-necked footwarmer! 18. Goodnight Marty - Probably the same as "It's Been...Educational". 19. It's Been Educational / Clocktower - Probably "The Clock Tower" and "Back To The Future!" cues joined together. 20. Helicopter - Probably the same as "Doc's Success". Lovely string variation here. 21. '85 Lone Pine Mall - Probably the same as "The Libyans Return". 22. 4 x 4 - Guessing this is the same as "Marty & Jennifer" or "How About A Ride Mr?" 23. Doc Returns - This needs no clarification! 24. Back To The Future (End Credits) - Needless to say, this is the Main Theme suite from the original album. Of course, in the film the beginning and end is edited. So there you have it, another FANTASTIC score release from Intrada (thanks guys!!!)
