  1. No Prisoner Of Azkaban is. Followed by Goblet of Fire.
  2. I need something more to get interested.
  3. I started the Indy series with Temple of Doom. The dinner scene at the palace was horrible to watch at my ripe young age and still makes me flinch. That film has a special place in my heart that makes me favor it above the others.
  4. 25th Hour Who is this Terrence Blanchard and why don't I have more of his greatness in my collection?
  5. Then the question is still useless, since John will shine with all of those films.
  6. I read this "JW rescores Danny Elfman" and my immediate reaction was: Why?
  7. Dreamgirls A film with a great story but sadly it was poorly executed. It seemed as if the film makers loved every song that was written for this play and couldn't part with them. Well they should have cut at least half of them. The film is filled with song after song after song with only maybe two or three minutes of real dialogue. And so to move the story along almost 90% of the film is montage. Now while Eisenstein would be proud it doesn't work. The story is great as I said, uplifting, heartbreaking and a truly disturbing look in the sacrifices people make for fame. However the song after song pace slows the film down to an almost halt. After the fifth song with nothing more than a 45 second gap in between each the audience was both ready to go and dreading another tune. I will admit I rolled my eyes too when they began singing again. While the filmmakers moved the story along while using music, it still didn't help the feeling that you were watching a montage/music video. But anyways the positives. Great cast, great music loved almost every song. The acting was on point from every ball player. Fox was a charming villain, Beyonce was great the girl can act yeah she has a long way to go but at least she can do it, Murphy was fantastic great to see him try not to be funny. And then there is the talked about Ms. Hudson. While her performance is great it isn't amazing. For someone's first time on screen she did an excellent job however, what really made you fall in love with her performance is her voice not her acting. The girl can sing. The audience applauded even before she stopped singing And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going. She really does have a voice that can shake foundation. So all in all story, great, acting, great, music, great, execution mediocre. I just want to cut at least five songs out of the movie. Then maybe I could give it a 9 out of 10 or a 4 out of 5.
  8. Any of those. Williams' music could have brought Singer's films from below the level of GARBAGE to maybe above mediocratiy.
  9. I am surprised to hear that. I think you will be equaly surprised to find out that I think you are probably the only insane but tolerable person here.
  10. Because this place is a breeding ground for bad temper and imatture banter over stupid issues. This isn't a place people come to discuss issues that we all have in common. It's a damn battle royale for opinion, you all throw punches at each other with big words and whitty syntax. Nothing more. This conversation-no childish squabble, is a perfect example of how stagnat this place has become. I'm only here because of nostalgia. It may last another day or till someone replies to this comment with some sharp insult. Eh I'll see what happens.
  11. The Inconvenient Truth. I enjoyed it but found those random trips into Gore's past and feelings, irrelevant. Oh and the visualization of the Polar Bear trying to get on the ice was hilarious.
  12. Piano. I feel it brings out the melody and the emotion better than the other renditions. And it's a little bit more "magical".
  13. Because you have no critical bone in your body. For many Potterfans, any form of dissidence towards the great all-powerful and all-knowing J.K. Rowling and her glorious plot and story mythology must be met with the harshest of punishment. You don't know me. I know enough to see that you have trouble recognising literary mediocrity. Ah okay so this is why I left. You left because people disagreed with you? No.
  14. A terrible story for a film, with some elements so laughable that I felt like throwing something at the screen. I disagree. As usual.

  16. There's always one..... While I'm sure Steef hasn't seen the flick, I agree with his sentiment. Shyamalan is quite admirable, really is an uber-directer. He went from fooling audiences to fooling a studio, into thinking that this film would not be total rubbish. He must have had a grudge against WB for not picking up the Sixth Sense, or something like that, moving to them for this one travesty of a film. . Travesty? Why?
  17. Because you have no critical bone in your body. For many Potterfans, any form of dissidence towards the great all-powerful and all-knowing J.K. Rowling and her glorious plot and story mythology must be met with the harshest of punishment. You don't know me. Good. I've grown alot since this place. In film school, making films doing what I love. Can't complain. Just came back for nostalgia. Don't really know if this is a fleating fancy.
  18. Inside Man I enjoyed this film a great deal. I was particularly interested in Spike Lee's use of long shots. I think the longest was over 45 seconds. Denzel of course was great. Lady In The Water A fabulous fairy tale. I rank this film up there with M Night.'s best works. The end sequence was well paced. The length of shots were perfect. And it still told a story as it wrapped the film up. Without sacrificing pacing for imagery Shyamalan blended beautiful shots together with story telling. Which in effect didn't leave the audience squirming for an end, that seemed inevitable given the slow pace of the rest of the movie. As with all his films the last half hour is where it picks up and takes off and where he really shines. M:I:3 I enjoyed this movie too. However I was a bit disappointed by the scale. I expected a bigger plot with bigger, twist and turns. It was somewhat simple. Maybe that was for the best.
  19. It's been a very very long time since i've been on the message board. Alot has changed but thankfully Stefancos stayed the same.
  20. Oh gosh look what I brought back. A decomposing argument, that just infects and goes no where.
  21. Lady In The Water. Great score. Why my reviews are so simplistic, I have no idea.
  22. The last two Harry Potter novels are great as is the rest of the series. I'm confused as to why this argument continues.
  23. I am surprised no one has listed Mission Impossible 3.
  24. X-3 Finally a good X-men film. I'm very glad they got rid of Singer's dumb ass. Nice action film, that was enjoyable on most superficial levels. Nothing too intellectual.
