BLUMENKOHL 1,071
The playful new score by Danny Elfman...has been out and the film opens today....so let the grading begin! I'm not voting until I see the movie, but on album alone, I'd give this baby a solid B+. Thus far, the JWFAN.net community has rated:Lady in the Water by James Newton Howard A-X-Men: The Last Stand by John Powell B007: Casino Royale by David Arold BThe Da Vinci Code by Hans Zimmer B-Superman Returns by John Ottman C-All the Kings Men by James Horner DPirates of the Caribbean - The Dead Man's Chest by Hans Zimmer F
Ray Barnsbury 8
I give it an A...a lovely, magical, upbeat score. Elfman's been on a roll these past couple years!Ray Barnsbury
Jacck 23
It's a very weak score, in my opinion. Messy orchestration, clashing timbres throughout, and very weak harmonies and harmonic progressions make it hard to listen to for me. It has a few nice moments, but most of it seems to be just generic Elfman that I've heard so many times before.
Diego 21
Not a bad score but it sounds too much like Corpse Bride and Big Fish, also it's a bit repetitive.
