Ollie 1,059
I would recommend not ordering Sebastian. Read Lukas Kendell's post at FSM.
Jay 37,372
InterestingYou may have heard, or will be hearing, rumblings about the thieves at Harkit issuing a CD of Goldsmith's Sebastian. We had major problems with Harkit releasing pirate versions of Bell, Book and Candle and Klute before we did the official ones, and we had to have lawyers stomp on them to keep them from pirating The Man From U.N.C.L.E.Anyway, if they do something with Sebastian, DON'T BUY IT.Can't say any more -- it's not us working on a license -- but you would be VERY SORRY if you spent money on Harkit's inane vinyl transfer and then saw what was subsequently released for real.Get it?Thanks,Lukashttp://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cf...1&archive=
Ollie 1,059
Reading between the lines at both Intrada & FSM message boards, it appears Intrada will be or is working on releasing it.
Wojo 2,453
Then if there was ever a reason to not promote or discuss bootleg CDs in an open forum, this is it. Especially if company A seeks to make a profit from a bootleg while company B is trying to legitimize said bootleg.
Jay 37,372
I didn't know that Harkit wasn't on the up and up when I started the thread
Wojo 2,453
No, you don't have to apologize or sad face it. I didn't even know Harkit existed as a soundtrack company before you started the thread. If there's a chance that some of their releases are not bootlegs, I'd be more interested in buying those albums. But as it stands, I don't think I recognize any of the scores or movies they have for sale.
Ollie 1,059
As far as albums being released outside of the US goes, it's somewhat tricky because they fall under the public domain laws. You can find all sorts of discussion over at FSM about it.
