Or Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother!

Don't they hate that album now?

I don't know but it seems unlikely that they all hate it, as if they were one person.

Roger Waters and David Gilmour dislike it.

If that is true, then they finally found something where they can agree on. Personally, I don't like the 'brass' side of Atom Mother Heart. Perhaps they don't like it either.

I've been listening to Pink Floyd almost all my life and I notice that today I enjoy them mostly for their early period. I'm starting to have problems with the theatrical side of their so-called best albums.

Alex, what would you class as "early"? I only say this as AHM was in 1970, and Piper...was in 1967. Would I be right in thinking that everything between '67, and '70 is early? If so, that's a bit like saying that everything between Trespass, and Selling England.. would be Gennesis' early period.

"Early Pink Floyd" to me is everything after Syd Barrett and before Dark Side Of The Force ... uh ... Moon. I love More (OST), Meddle, Obscured By Clouds.

That being said, I've never heard one single note of Ummagumma. I know it's a double album where one LP/CD is live while the other is a studio album.

Not heard "Ummagumma"? Honestly, Alex, you are not missing much! "Grantchester Meadows" is quite nice, tho'
