We may also be without the film version of the Special Edition mother ship scene. That segment is on Pops in Space and it WAS recorded with the Boston Pops, but I have no idea if it's the film version.

The "Pops In Space" version is the film version.

Good point. It isn't documented, but it "sounds" exactly the same on the film, as it does on the c.d. Added to that, there is no evidence to suggest that it is not the same recording. It was also recorded, and released, in 1980. We, as fans, also know that it was his only film work, that year (excepting "TESB", of course, and it does sound as if it came from those sessions). All evidence points to the suggestion that the c.d. version IS the film version.

P.s., the c.d. is also missing "The Eleventh Commandment".
