I use EWQLSO Silver Edition. I use it with Sonar as a Dxi plug-in. Works like a charm, but needs a lot of RAM (512 ain't enough for complex orchestral works that include a lot of key switching patches).

Yep, here's a link to Sounds Online page featuring several.

And here's a link to Motif Songs forum where I've posted some of my own pieces using this plug-in sample set:

Thanks!

Your music sounds very good and I like your composing style.

Do you think that EWQLSO Silver Edition will also sound so good on a PC with a cheaper soundcard?

You do need a soundcard that has the WMF drivers or else you run into hideous latency (meaning if you hit a key on your MIDI keyboard, the sound plays a second later which is completely useless if you're doing realtime recording). M-Audio has decent yet inexpensive PCI sound cards. They are your best bet since USB external cards can be dicey with audio streaming. Firewire ones seem to be pretty solid mind you.

Fiery Angel, I listened to the first of the two. Very nice! You are an excellent orchestrator. I wish you would develop the motives a little more. You have enough material there for a 5-minute piece. I wanted more! (Whch is a good thing!) Maybe bring the opening material back to close the piece with a bang. Nice trumpet theme, very SPR. My favorite material was definitely the first minute though. PLEASE extend it! :shakehead:

Thanks Gents!  I'm working on some longer pieces at the moment, one for brass ensemble (that will eventually get performed by real musicians).

Hey, what's the instrumentation in your brass ens.? And who are they?
