nicholas 1
Has anyone heard John Williams' "Thomas and the King", a musical he wrote in the early eighties? I believe a cast-recording is available. It seems to have been widely panned by the critics at the time, and then quietly forgotten. Is it an aberration worth seeking out, or best left to rest? pixie_twinkle 48
Is it an aberration worth seeking out, or best left to rest? Both! It's really quite embarassing in places, but has a couple of fun songs. It's worth owning just to hear John Williams attempting to write a humerous musical based on the Murder of Beckett! What was he thinking about??? His next comic musical will be called "Nazi War Attrocities".
