ROTJ and ROTLA's sound.

I noticed that when I brightned up some of the ROTJ cues, that it sounded more like ROTLA than E.T. like I had theorized it to sound, go figure.

Anybody else notice, and want to discuss?

Of course it does, both scores are recorded by Eric Tomlinson.

The big difference however is that ROTJ was recorded at Abbey Road. But nonetheless you can still hear both scores are recorded by the same engineer.

Anvil lost its recording stage back in the early 80s so it started a partnership with Abbey Road. It was this partnership that had Abbey Road record its first film score. So yes, Anvil's services were used, but Raiders was still recorded at Abbey Road.

My copy of the original OST says "Recorded at Anvil Recording Studios London, England" on the back cover

My copy of the DCC CD says "Recorded at Anvil Recording Studios, Denham and EMI Abbey Road Studio No. 1, February 1981"

My copy of the Concord re-issue repeats the OST credit exactly "Recorded at Anvil Recording Studios, London, England"
