bollemanneke 3,349
What do you think? I'd ideally want the LSO to tackle this and not, say, the City of Prague Philarmonic. I'm a bit surprised that orchestras keep recording random movements instead of going the extra mile and presenting entire suites.

Thor 7,508
I doubt it. The piano sonata, wind quintet and symphony, in particular, will prove very difficult -- also after Williams' death. The others are more flexible, I think, but I think there's a reason for why some of them haven't seen the light of day in a legitimate format. Like the Michael Dukakis fanfare, for example. A rather weak piece, performed extremely weakly in its premiere. I'm fortunate to have all of them (except for the piano sonata, wind quintet, symphony and "A Toast!"), but I doubt we'll see them, and the other 'bootleg' pieces, get a commercial release in the foreseeable future. bollemanneke

Maglorfin 196
The idea is appealing to be sure, but I think I would rather not see such box as the price tag on it would probably be way up high. I mean, how many CDs would there be?! bollemanneke
