Ray Barnsbury 8 Posted February 2, 2003 Posted February 2, 2003 That girl looks a little old to be your baby. Are you lying about your age?Ray Barnsbury

Guest Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 Hey, i'm a new member but I can tell you it feels really weird to be talking to geeks like me... I feel like... like I belong! (just another geeky canadian girl!)*Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try, no hell below us, above us only sky...Imagine all the people, living lives in peace... oohoooh o-o-oh!* :wow:
Ren 77 Posted February 5, 2003 Author Posted February 5, 2003 Oh please morn,Indy, no that piano was the school's and i'm sure they got their money's worth in free fixes but like i said, it was NEVER the same.I couldn't even use her for my piano recital. I had to use a different one. I practiced 5 years on that piano, the week before my recital GONE!and to Aayla, although your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated and recommended on the board, you may want to contain your outbursts of geekiness to one thread or try to mix them in with the topic. . . .piano piano piano piano GEEK piano piano piano..doesn't seem to mesh
PBL 0 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 this is my little baby... wow... It's been 4 years now I haven't seen this little one... (the best piano of my -short- life perhaps...) but I know exactely where it is and I wish I can hear his voice again.Philippe BL - who's wondering if his little baby can now stand on 2 feet.
Ren 77 Posted February 6, 2003 Author Posted February 6, 2003 beautiful!!!!! is that you? is that your piano???
PBL 0 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 yep Ren It was a magnificent 1/2 Steinway (2'11 meters), very powerful, yet soft and clear. It was wonderfuly prepared and tuned... It was played at a concert I gave 4 years ago in a church in Paris... but this time, it didn't include any Johnny music
RomanticStrings 62 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 Here is a picture of a piano like my new baby. The picture is from http://www.rolandus.com/.~Conor
Ren 77 Posted February 6, 2003 Author Posted February 6, 2003 hey there ya go.nothing beats the sound and feel of a grand piano BUT i would definitely go all out and buy a digital piano sometime....the ones with the SUPERB touch AND looks like a grand piano.
PBL 0 Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 you mean it does sound like a grand piano, or it truly looks like a concert piano ?
ocelot 565 Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 I have a Grotrian-Steinweg upright. Whoever I get to come tune it always freaks out that I have one. I have no idea what the big deal is, but it does sound like a grand piano. very deep and smooth with power. No tingyness or twangyness.
Ren 77 Posted February 9, 2003 Author Posted February 9, 2003 have you looked it up to see how rare it is?
PBL 0 Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 I have a Grotrian-Steinweg upright.Every Grotian upright I've seen were SO good I could have trade my 1/2 Kawai piano for a piano like yours !
