  1. Add to Williams: Harp - lots of it in SW music...not too many write cool harp parts if they even write at all...sweeping harp parts. Zimmer - the ability to blow out your speakers with pounding orchestrations...bombastic is a good word ... and Gladiator is the first of his scores that doesn't hurt your ears with all that continual pounding...
  2. The Phantom Menace is fine except, IMHO, the last 1.27 or so ONLY because there's a lot crammed into that- although given the scope of what you're doing you kinda have to do some of that....it's almost like you had too many choices and not enough space...the transition into Yoda's teachings might go a little smoother after that....I mean, shoot, I couldn't do what you did but you asked....
  3. Listening to "The Chosen One" now and I wouldn't change a thing!
  4. I use DVD Audio Extractor for this purpose only...http://www.castudio.org/dvdaudioextractor/index.htm It's really easy to use and makes it painless. The new version even let's you preview the track before you rip.
  5. Todd, not to be to much of a pain but are you going to remaster your work from the ROTS CD now that you have it? Not that the 256kbps parts are bad at all....just curious....
  6. Well....I went to their website this morning and left them feedback since they don't have a regular e-mail address per se, and I asked them what their logic was since I could rip the soundtrack to the iPod but not the free track? I failed to mention that I was going to rip the audio from the DVD to my iPod but I thought that might be pushing it a little since I want some real info from them...although I probably won't get that......
  7. I thought of burning it to a CD, too, but it just annoys me that I can't just convert it easily...I'll have to rethink your first option and see what I can do... Thanks!
  8. I paid for my CD at Target, downloaded the bonus track and because it's some kind of protected WMA file I can't convert it to any format that will go on my iPod! Usually, iTunes can do it. Roxio can do it, Nero can do it. Heck, I downloaded a WMA to MP3 converter and it couldn't do it, either. All because it is a protected file. I figured I could burn it to a CD first and then convert it but I don't feel like I should have to do that first for something I paid for.... Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! I was about to rip the audio from the DVD to put on my iPod, too, and am assuming that that shouldn't be a problem....
  9. Joe, my WMP shows the same thing...like Neil says iTunes has it right when I plugged the CD in to rip to my iPod...Roxio has it right, too.
  10. I called Target here in Houston and they said they had it for $11.98...
  11. So, Joe, did they also switch the order of all the tracks? They all seem to be out of order...plus, the track names are different on yours than on the cover scans..."Welcome Lord Vader"? "The reunion of Anakin and Padme"? Curious.
  12. It was shown in NYC this weekend. I saw an interview with Hayden Christiansen and he was there and saw it for the first time in a completed format. I'm guessing that's why all these reviews popped up on Monday, too. So it wouldn't be a stretch that whomever posted that (and I haven't read that link, nor will I..) was probably there or a bad liar.......
  13. My thinking is, and I have no basis for this other than my own gut, is that IJ4 would take place during the cold war...and the villians would be Soviets. As to JW and his scores for the series...I'm sure what he would produce would be just as good as anything else he writes...especially for something as 'signature' as an IJ film. He's gotta know what the expectations are....
  14. Target may not have the ability, like you said, but I bet Sony does...so I can see this download being a link at Target's site that re-directs you to Sony...and it may be that way for the entire bonus thing for everyone...
  15. I feel so much better knowing I'm not alone! I often time the arrival into my driveway at my home if it is sunset with "Cloud City" as the Falcon arrives on Bespin. I often leave the house on sunny days to the opening strains of The Rocketeer when they're firing up the GeeBee. ...and the Asteroid Field has almost gotten me into too much trouble in my youth as I would weave in and out of traffic at light speed....too fun....
