  1. I haven't been able to listen to the show. On vacation with limited internet access via my phone but Desplat wasn't making those suggestions/accusations about Williams, was he?
  2. For me, it certainly is. There are plenty of differences between HA and HA2 musically. They are super-similar thematically and all but as someone who is obsessed with the music to the first film (combining two genres I love: film and Christmas music), it's a must for me. In fact, I just created my own HA soundtrack album using the 1990 album plus a few tracks from artists that weren't on that disc (ie, Run Rudolph Run and Rockin ' Around The Christmas Tree). This new LLL release will fill out the score for me perfectly. Can't wait. I'll be ordering it, STV and Batman Returns for sure on Tuesday and possibly Jade, as I am a fan of some of Horner's work and Jade is a score with which I am not familiar at all. Very curious about it.
  3. Wow. I wasn't expecting this AT ALL but I couldn't be happier. I love this score. This movie was (is) a sentimental family favorite and I think the score is wonderful. I will definitely order this and STV! Outstanding!!
  4. This man speaks truth. Today for me so far (stuck at work): The Great Movie Score of Steven Spielberg- I really enjoy this CD. I love the Sugarland Express track. Superman III (Blue Box) - First Superman film I saw and Superman is what hooked me on film music as a young kid. Conan (new Prague version) As I type: Father of the Bride (Silvestri) - I love this score.
  5. I love Danny Elfman. He's one of my favorite composers. If only they'd do something like this for Williams/Spielberg. I'd give anything for expanded Lost World, demo cues, etc from all their collaborations. I can dream. I can't wait for this thing though. It's very cost-prohibitive, but will be worth it I think.
  6. The Christopher Reeve Superman films were certainly at the top of my list. That score started a love for film scores. Actually, I saw Superman III first as a kid on TV and the FSM Blue Box with all four was a like a gift from heaven!! I've always maintained that II-IV didn't get the credit they deserved (the scores) and that set totally vindicated them. And of course, the first film score is just a masterpiece. The movie that rekindled my love for film music was Jurassic Park. It's top-tier for me and even though there isn't a ton of unreleased music, I'd like a complete edition. I'd also love every cue from the Star Wars films and Hook. There's so much music I'm dying to get. Haha. <_<
  7. Jurassic Park. First listen in probably a year and an all-time personal favorite. I was thirteen when the film came out and the music jumped out at me and immediately rekindled a passion for film music that hard literally started when I was 5 years old (Superman). I walked out of the theater with my friend and BEGGED my mom to buy me the soundtrack. She did! I still have that disc. Love this score.
  8. Nice work on the game breakdown! I have to say that an instrumental DotF is still one of my score holy grails. ...maybe some day. Great work though. You guys are for real. <_<
  9. I just spent the last couple hours reading this thread. What a phenomenal resource. I've been a film score fan for years but have never signed up here before. John Williams' Superman score got me hooked on film music when I was a young kid. I once started an Indiana Jones score project back in 2008 when those few cues leaked (Indy Rides the Statue, etc) and then got sidetracked with crazyness and other obligations. Then I accidentally deleted those leaked files and haven't gotten around to trying to find them again. Anyways, thanks for all the insightful conversation here. This place is a gold mine of information. Seriously awesome discussion and information. I' m in AWE!
