  1. a friend of mine has a booklet WITH teeth! I thought all copies have that misprint, but ... well, apparently not.
  2. when I got the Ultimate Edition of TPM for Christmas in 2000, I gave away the OST album. How stupid..... I was 14 years old.
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2016/dec/23/pecking-order-toothless-dinosaur-points-way-to-evolution-of-the-beak So it's not a misprint after all?
  4. I love how the harmonized rendition of the Island's Voice motif is heard (the second time, after first heard during "Raptors Appear") when the helicopter leaves the island and flies over the InGen gate. You should play that unused track over the scene, it's really interesting and obviously a totally different feeling. For those who care, the harmonies are: Gm F#m/C# Bbm Gm
  5. I've just seen The Lost World in a small neighborhood cinema in Berlin. The building used to be a slaughterhouse of the Prussian Army in the 19th century Anyway, it was an original 35mm copy and the sound was AWESOME. You could here almost every note.
  6. oh and the beginning of "Fire at Camp" sounds like it's building up the Resistance Theme from TFA, right?
  7. the really cool and awesome cello / fender bass line from "Reading the map".
  8. Spielberg talks about this in an interview, can't remember which. He used to listen to the new tapes from the recording sessions while driving to locations in poland in the morning.
  9. btw, besides the unreleased music: I'm really looking forward to experience the full scores with clean intros and endings!!!
  10. no, it hasn't. they're both playing thirty second notes / demisemiquavers; and the same notes. Woodwinds are just playing less because it's set in turns to make it physically possible for the players.
  11. well, it's an orchestral piece so it's not about to be able to hear the "results" of one single player or instrument. The piano part here is doubling the woodwinds to create a specific sound, quite common for those figures, although I can't name another example right now.
  12. fair enough, but that doesn't count for me. ;-) Just saying, it's a bit unusual to know the full orchestral score BEFORE actually listening to the cue.
  13. So I just have to say this, even if it seems trivial: We're going to hear NEW, never before experienced music!!!
  14. So the cue Up in a Basket Part II ("In the Trailer") HAS BEEN recorded!!!! If I'm not mistaken, you dont hear a second of this in the movie. Only the beginning of Up in a basket part I
  15. what did they play when the T-Rex enters in the last scene? film edit (journey to the island) or the album version (4-note-motif fanfare) ? I could kick myself for not going. Especially with Aliens playing today....
  16. it's quite beautiful I think. About sounding familiar: The melody (well, the first bar) reminds me of the B section of "Somewhere In My Memory" (precious moments, special people...).
  17. Is it just me because I'm German or is it really a bad idea?
