  1. Oh no! That's too bad. It's really a lovely little film with such wonderful performances. I still have it on letterboxed laserdisc. When you say you have never listened to the OST before, is it perhaps because you don't own it, or you aren't interested in it? I fell in love with the score the moment I first played the CD back in 1990. It really showcases what a wonderfully versatile composer the Maestro is. When people say Williams lacks subtlety this is the score I would point them to. I hope TT does SpaceCamp at some stage, would live to hear the little bits of unreleased stuff.
  2. Is anyone planning on picking this BD up? I would love to see a breakdown of the complete score with timings and details on which bits were left of the brief OST. Hope TT gives us more JW iso's in the future.
  3. I'm speaking from memory, so don't shoot if I'm wrong, but wasn't Dracula recorded at CTS Studios in London, which famously chucked out all their recordings when the facility was demolished (at least those that the artists didn't fetch beforehand)? Wasn't that what happened to Raise the Titanic and some of the Elmer Bernstein Film Music Collection recordings? As for a re-recording of the complete score, bring it on! Tadlow seems to be winding down this year, only Ben-Hur and one other score planned for recording so not likely. Maybe Varese will record it with the same orchestra they used on their Back to 1985 comp, and combine it with the OST remastered on CD2?
  4. Fantastic site! Thanks for providing a great JW resource for all of us.
  5. My answer would be anything that hasn't been released. My top wants would be: 1. The Rare Breed 2. The Secret Ways 3. The Sugarland Express It seems quite a bit of stuff is Universal owned, which cound explain why we haven't gotten them yet as apparently approvals take a long time over there (obviously barring the other obstacles such as missing elements, licencing issues, JW does not want score X released, and so on). From the concert realm, my choices are: 1. Symphony No. 1 2. For Seiji 3. The full orchestral version of the Winter Games Fanfare
  6. 7. Yes I think its the same one, except the image I have must be from the back, as it has all the text I quoted above. The fonts and layout look identical.
  8. Just added this one, had to find the information in my archive first: Star Wars: A New Hope - Special Edition (Millenium Falcon shaped CD-single; slimline jewel case; film art; includes "Main Title/Blockade Runner" and "Imperial Attack"; produced by Pepsi in Europe and includes the Pepsi logo on the back of the insert; reportedly only 18 were produced) RCA Victor 74321-455952
  9. I found another one, I would post an image here but I only have the JPG on my PC. It is in a plastic CD sleeve with printed black text on white paper insert, text reads: "John Williams - Call of the Champions (The Official Theme of the 2002 Winter Olympics) 4:58 11/27/01 Rough Session Take - Unedited/Unmixed" and the usual stuff about copyright etc. Not sure who it's intended audience was, perhaps the TV studios covering the event?
  10. I thought the studios gave them away to promote their films' scores during awards season?
  11. I completely forgot about the NBC CD with all the variations of The Mission theme.
  12. Awesome, thanks! Will update when I am able. Any possibility of posting/sending artwork for the various Olympic promos? I knew about JP and Schindler (the MCA5P ones) but wasn't sure if they were promos or released singles. Do you have images for these? I also have the other JP single (MCD 30797) but again wasn't sure it was a promo.
  13. Jay, since you appear to be familiar with these titles, is The Book Thief in a cardboard sleeve or jewel case? As I said in my reply to you above, I'll edit it once I have more feedback.
  14. Great stuff! Looking forward to it. I may consider adding images once the list is compiled. Thanks! Completely slipped my mind about the brief 3 second "orchestral blowout" as someone called it back then.
  15. In your opinion. I like owning the ones that have the same contents as the OSTs as I'm a collector and want to own as many FYCs and promos as possible. I also own many imports that simply have different cover art from the US versions (for example, Seven Years in Tibet JP, Sayuri JP, Angela's Ashes DE and JP). And what about the radio edits? Those aren't on the OSTs either.
  16. No order, I first listed the ones I own, and then the rest as I researched them / managed to remember. Depending on the response, I'll recompile everything in alphabetical order with more detail.
  17. Thanks. Any more of the older ones I'm missing?
  18. Please provide info and I'll include (assume you are referring to the LP, was that a promo or a boot?)
  19. Has anyone attempted to compile a list of all the FYC and Promo CDs featuring JW's scores?
