  1. It's amazing how one short post will bring the original topic back. My favorote movie munchies are popcorn and SnoCaps (non-pariels; chocolate chips covered with little white dots). They are very good. As I mentioned before, my drink of choice is Coke or Pepsi. Never alchohol, seeing as its illegal for me to drink alchohol unless with immediate family, and I probably wouldn't like it anyways, not to say that I won't in time. ~Conor
  2. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who like the Shadow, though.
  3. Apparently, though I don't remeber because I was eight at the time, I saw it in theaters too. I never threw a sheet over my head though. But I did get two opportunities to dress up as him, once for halloween of '94, once this year in spirit week at school. Ha, beat that. ~Conor
  4. Has anyone here seen The Shadow? I really like the movie, but not too many people I know have seen it. Goldsmith's score is brilliant. Very dark, but there is a great love theme that lifts you right up. The soundtrack is next to impossible to get because it was discontinued, though it really is great music. I have the score, and I won't sell it, but I am curious to see who else has seen it. ~Conor
  5. I think that the term "Tusken Raiders" is fine, but I also think that Williams should put in a perverted version of Raiders March for them. Just a thought. ~Conor
  6. Ren, I knew that I could respect you.
  7. 1. John Williams 2. Jerry Goldsmith 3. James Horner 4. Michael Kamen 5. Hans Zimmer 6. Danny Elfman 7. David Arnold 8. Howard Shore 9. John Powell 10. Alan Silvestri The top 3 are in order, the rest are all in one big group. Perpetual fourth place, if you will. ~Conor, who really like his movie composers
  8. What are these pictures that you speak of? Are they naughty? "Cause if they are, I don't need one. But if they're not... ~Conor
  9. The only thing that I drink while watching a movie is the original Coca-Cola. Nothing beats it. I am too young to drink alchohol, but I wouldn't drink alchohol while I'm watching a movie anyway. I would want to enjoy the movie with all of my senses. ~Conor, who loves Coca-Cola
  10. When will people realize that teachers need to be paid a lot more? We can reduce the actors pay, and we can increase the salary of the teacher. Or even better, teachers should act like actors and be stubborn about the money.
  11. The T-Rex and Raptors in Jurassic Park wouldn't have scary, the brachiosaurs would not have been majestic, and the island wouldn't be anythink like it was without the music. I have always held the opinion that movie music makes the movie. I find it to be the best style, though style is very broad in this case which makes it very cool, of music out there. ~Conor
  12. I would definately buy it because it would have music that I don't have and that I would want. ~Conor
  13. Yes, I agree. James Horner.
  14. Ah, I see. Episode III: The Undiscovered Country
  15. I picked brassy because Jurassic Park got me into the movie score area, and That was quite brassy, though it had its quieter moments. I just get spines with his brass, though, and find them to be the most uplifting. Not ice in Angela's Ashes that he brought in the brass at the very end where it was at it's happiest. ~Conor
  16. I voted for other, because I think that there are countless numbers of composers who could become the next John Williams in the sense of popularity and ability, but I think that the style of these composers will be very different. I think that Don Davis has a chance because JW recommended him for JPIII, so he obviously seem to have potential in JW's eyes, and David mArnold makes very effective scores. They are all good, however, so it is tough to say. JAmes Horner will never be the next John Williams. We should be looking for a next James Horner. Not to say that he is as godd as JW, but he is so good that he can be considered one of the Composers we should be looking for a next one of. Yeah. ~Conor
  17. Goldsmith is improving Zimmer's score. I didn't say that Zimmer is better. Goldsmith is second to Williams. Zimmer is in the top ten current composers, but isn't above Goldsmith. ~Conor
  18. Maybe he is right, but I view Star Wars as one big movie that has been cut into episodes to make it possible to make. It is really one big story. Perhaps this editting job was used to throw the viewer back to the droid battle anyways. Maybe it was meant to be a subconscious thing. Whatever the case, Lucas is not lazy, nor is Williams. There is a perfectly logical explanation, I am sure of that. Maybe they were going to re-record that music, but decided that they wanted to have the exact same music because it would be impossible to exactly replicate the feel of the music. ~Conor, who trusts JW and GL completely
  19. There is a form of marxism like fascism, isn't there? I'm not very learned on this subject, though.
  20. Well, That's cool. I really like Tide.
