I just read that childhood, mothers and believe are modern 2001 demos for a cancelled bricusse musical. I'm really missing the 90's sessions julie andrews version of Childhood, i would have loved to add it to the main program. Moira's lullaby is for an alternate scene of "Saying goodnight", right? Is it sung by Caroline Goodall?

On the other hand, where i was dissapointed at first as the two cues were meant to merge, in the end im glad rufios entrance is separate from the lost boys chase, so we can edit it easily with any of the two versions.

Question: Farewell Neverland (Alternate Short version) is an intended cue for a shorter alternate edit of the finale or is just an additional track that omits the middle cue created for the narrative of the 3rd disc?. Reading the liner notes implies that, but the name of the track implies the former... I suppose there was no available disc space to place the complete finale. Is the first segment a different performance or the same as the main program?

Leslie bricusse? Regarding those… i didnt hear any new- different music from what im accustomed to. Were they in the old boots? I thought they were unreleased, but maybe the dissapointemt was they were not in the First LLL edition

Well the reissues take release spots, pushing back an unreleased score… and if it were just straight reissues (like et or ai) i dont really mind… but when there is a slight improvement… i feel compelled to buy it… And i mean, if the reissues were done in 40 years for new fans… but having 2-3 releases in my lifetime is too much.

But at the same period a perfect sounding bootleg had surfaced. So it added salt to injury. In my case i think i played the LLL cd once.

Ordered. Its nice to have all the upgrades… but sometimes it feels we are buying the same scores time and again… how many scores have been treated twice by the labels already? To think so many unexpanded scores that could be… But, well varese what are you waiting to rerelease heartbeeps? Its the only williams expanded score i dont officially own! 😠

Never song sounds like one of menken demos sung by him or the lyricists. And i can really picture “stick with me” being sung by Scar. Maybe it is because both hook and scar have the same dubbing actor in spanish 😅. in other words. Maybe these songs are not that bad and could have made a disney animation film. Though i think i herad the word “hookers” in low below (which in fact reminisces fathoms below…) And its a shame the most piratey music was rejected. It adds a lot of immersion.

Since the verses are repeated in the song, he should have used both once, so we would have the complete lyrics. im so accustomed to “cherish, childhood, as any child would” that i miss it. “Should” kinda implies that some children get robbed of their childhoods, but although true it is not the message of the film. Or maybe it is…it could be also the message of the peter pan original, dont rob children their childhoods making them grow too fast. Both wendy’s father and peter banning tell their older child to grow up…. And maybe julie andrews sang the book version…. BTW, if the film had been an animated disney movie, childhood would have been the perfect end credit song. An unused song whose musical theme was strongly used in the score. Like it happened in pocahontas and hunchback.

Its a shame most of the songs are mostly demos, not sung by the cast or ‘vocal look-alikes’. They cant really be integrated into the score to make an alternate movie with musical scenes siundtrack.

🥲 something lovely happened. i was listening to ‘when you are alone instrumental’ sitting on the floor looking at the window alongside my 15 month old daughter. Halfway through, i couldnt help it and started singing the lyrics. Then she looks at me, smiles and embraces me resting her little head with mine. 🫶🏼
