Justin 2
Well at least Gladiator has some of the most stunning orchestral dramatic stuff Zimmer has ever done (with Hannibal).Isnt the dramatic stuff (sorrow theme?) composed by Lisa Gerrad? The two best cues of the entire score were written entirely by Zimmer. Morlock 11
The best part of Hannibal are the cues Zimmer didn't compose. There are three such cues- 'Gun Play', written by James O'Leary, 'Gourmet Vaise Tartare', which is mostly variations on 'The Blue Danube Waltz', which Klaus Badelt wrote and Zimmer re-wrote, and 'Vide Cor Meum', which Patrick Cassidy wrote with Hans Zimmer. Producer Martha De Laurentiis said that Zimmer brought in his friend Cassidy to help adapting the libretto and putting it to music, And Cassidy ended up staying with Zimmer as they completed the piece together. It was co-written by them, and Rupert Gregson-Williams (conductor of the score), said that Zimmer gave up his credit in tribute to Cassidy's help, but they in fact wrote it together (As is said on the DVD on more than one occaision by the producers and Mr. Scott).
