Looks like we share the same favorite tracks from the DOS OST :)

What do you think of the "Thrain" bonus track from DOS, on the BOFA OST?

Welcome.

Can I ask, what do you mean with musically deaf?

Don't know one note from another, never really was interested in music of any kind, or paid attention to it. That sort of stuff. It does sound a bit odd, in retrospect. I'll edit it to make it more understandable.

And the 'Thrain' track I do like, mainly for Sauron's theme, but also the Erebor theme and Smaug's B theme.

Yep, I plan to, I was just listening to DoS when I had the idea, and it's the score I know best. But yes.

A Spell of Concealment.

Some menacing Sauron descending thirds get this track under way, and segue into the Necromancer’s theme, also menacing. A nice break with some House of Durin material brings us straight back into the descending thirds, and an ohmigawd amazing stretch of Sauron’s theme at the end of the track. Dying of awesome.

Overall: 9/10

Unfortunately, "A Spell of Concealment" also has the (trombones?) that sound more like sticking cardboard into a fan.
