mahler3 478
If anyone has the new DVD of 'Dances With Wolves' there is an early studio presentation reel by Neil Travis on disc 2 that features music absolutely identical to Williams 'JFK' theme, which is bizarre as this reel must have been compiled in late '89 early '90 whilst 'JFK' was completed in 1991?It states the music was composed by J&B productions or something like that! Did Williams borrow this theme, or is it just pure coincidence? I would vote for the latter of course -Tim
Hlao-roo 389
I don't know anything about what you described above, but if you're curious about other possible inspirations for Mo. Williams's JFK, see his own themes in The Cowboys, Conrack, Superman (Jonathan Kent).

Miguel Andrade 1,263
Williams begun work on JFK before shooting begun. He even recoded some muisc to be used during shooting. I know that Dances was released a year before, and that this is not likely, but maybe, just maybe, they used some of this early Williams recordings for JFK. mahler3 478
Is it not possible this music was added for the DVD release?Possibly, but early presentation reel's are usually temp scored for maximum impact etc. On the flipside of the coin Morn could be right, as the initial music track may have been damaged or plain naff?Either way, if anyone watches this you'll see (or hear rather) what I mean.-Tim.
