JoeinAR 1,949
For those who have actually heard the two.Joe, who got his introduction to Lost in Space and voted for Season 3.
Guest
I like the 1st and 2nd season theme. It sounds more like Williams and not as tongue-in-cheek.
Ollie 1,059
I think I may have voted wrong, I can't remember what Main Title goes with the seasons. I'll have to go home and pull out my Lost In Space cds.-Mark, who feels ashamed because he used to watch Lost In Space as a child every day. Guest
The 1st/2nd ssn theme sounds more like it belongs to a TV show called "Lost in Space". The 3rd ssn theme sounds more like a rip-off of the Bat-can, as seen on "Lost in Space".
JoeinAR 1,949
No it didn't, the third season theme is wonderful.some of the best theme writing for television ever.Joe, who has a soft spot for all things Lost in Space (tv, not movie)
Guest
3rd ssn theme may have not sounded like the Bat-can, but it's still as campy. The first theme: way better. More sci-fi-like, less 60s-ish.
JoeinAR 1,949
they both scream the 60's. both are campy, both are great.
Morn 8
The 2nd season, it's more original and more fun. And Lord is Judge, what's wrong with 60ish? It's better than 90ish. Jazz
King Mark 3,631
Season 3!And one of JW's most dynamic themes. And just imagine it without the 60's orchestrations, then it wouln't be 60ish at all and probably similar to TLW main theme.I just wish JW had done some underscore that would have incorporated it somehow. But by the 3rd season he wasn't writing anymore underscore .(but I bet he would have used it if he had scored Lost in Space,The Movie, which is a real shame he didn't)and I love the "Panic" theme. You know, when the spaceship is about to crash,or some catastrophe is coming.I think he re-used that one for the slug in ESB.K.M.
