The cues NGS did for The Rock, before Zimmer took over with his army. What do you think. They all credit each other but by all accounts NGS was initially hired, but complications with Bay meant that HZ had to step in. the first two tracks are from the original NGS score, the 2nd two HZ variations:

Funny how picky Bay is with scores and now he has Mr. Anonymous McDonalds Balfe doing nothing for his films......

Those are two of the NGS demos (I’m not sure if he wrote any music to picture before Zimmer joined). At any rate, they’re good, but Zimmer helped make this one of the great 90’s action scores. NGS still wrote a lot of music for the film though, and I think some of his original themes did make appearances.

I heard NGS' demos way back when all that stuff surfaced and I wasn't taken by his themes at all, but the final score is packed with memorable themes (I love the 'Jade' theme) so either they're Zimmer's work or NGS had another go.
