Guest
D'oh, so many of my favourites have been mentioned - Exhibit A: Closing scene in Shawshank Redemption, and Andy's escape.Exhibit B: Journey to the island from Jurassic Park (ah, memories of when i was 8)Exhibit C: Saving Private Ryan Omaha beach scene.Exhibit D: Descent into the Batcave from Batman - music is greatExhibit E: Many scenes from BTTF seriesGod knows why so many people have said the helicopter rescue from superman, it was nothing special. Now for some more classics:Cast Away: when Chuck is rowing away from the island and the music kicks in.Cast Away: when Chuck is standing at the crossroads - brilliant endingHarry Potter: The end - ie. the end of the credits. For anyone not understanding, i didn't like the film.Jaws: Exchanging the stories of scars but not the indianapolis speech, cos i've seen it so many times.CEO3K: where Roy is in the car and experiences the first alien encounter.TESB: the asteroid fieldTPM: Duel of the Fates - watch carefully the lightsabre technique, try watching just Obi-Wan or Darth Maul at one time.Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: The fights were great. The Last Crusade: The whole opening sequence - brilliantly scored. The interactions between Indy and his Dad - hilarious LOL Superman: The planet krypton introduction, the music is great. That's it for now - but there are countless others
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
I don't see what so special about the Helicopter recue scene either.Yes it's good, but imo NOT one of the defining moments of cinema.Stefancos- who expects hate-mail. JoeinAR 1,949
Uhhhhh!!!!Did Titanic have to get a mention here? Thanks for reminding me William,I love the scene at the beginning when the camera is looking at the wrecked bow and it melds into the new ship in port. IT is a breathtaking scene.I also am fond of the scene in Star Trek VI, The Voyage Home, when the Klingon Bird of Prey decloaks above the whaler, that is one cool scene.Joe, who will be nice and not include all my favorite Titanic scenes, there are too many to mention.
