Luke Skywalker 1,798
Well i think i just completely went tonedeaf.I was listening Giacchino's The Lost World and the cue 'The Canyon Brigade' - Human Hunter i always assumed that it was one of those almost note by note Williams cues Giacchino embedded in his earlier works (one per score, more or less) And of Course the Williams cue was the Nazi Theme from Last Crusade.I listened both Yesterday and they are not much alike except the 'Indy nazi' feeling.I search in Raiders...to not avail.. i even realised that there is not a 'Nazi' theme per se in that movie...Well lets go with Giacchino's MOH and MOH underground. MOH's isnt i think, and Underground's has some resemblances (and also 'Indy nazi' feeling)The only other thing i could try was Clint Bajakian's score for Emperor's tomb. His (again) 'Indy Nazi' theme has the most resemblances with Giacchino's TLW. but is not a note by note. So, where could have i heard that TLW cue before in a Williams score? I can only say congratulations on both composers when creating their Themes.PD: 'Nazis. I HATE them' -Indiana Jones, Adverturer Archaeologist
Morlock 11
Actually it's 'Nazis. I hate these guys'.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
It sounds suspiciously close to one of David Arnolds themes from ID4....actually it's pretty much identical. As you can hear here:

Jeshopk 8
I like it when Williams komposes Nazi muzik, he ist very very good at it.The goal wasn't to write music the Nazis would have used for their own propaganda, but rather to echo the villainous nazi music from US war films and propaganda films. It's 'them' through our eyes. I think he did the ultimate version of that sound.
überFranz 0
The jewis Spielberg probably did not vant Williams to be to realistik.Jäger des verlorenen Schatzes is full of anti-Nazi propaganda, and in Indiana Jones und der letzte Kreuzzug the Nazi's are portrayed as comic bufoons instead of the wery effective military force that nearly ruled the welt! Mr. Breathmask 555
It's always "blame the moderator" with you, isn't it?To get back on topic, I was actually a bit reminded of Belly of the Steel Beast, although I can't pinpoint the exact spot in that track. #SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
It's always "blame the moderator" with you, isn't it?Yes, so????To get back on topic, I was actually a bit reminded of Belly of the Steel Beast, although I can't pinpoint the exact spot in that track. The orchestrations of that score sound very Williamsy, but in a deeply annoying, false manner. Especially his Indiana Jones scores
Luke Skywalker 1,798
So this überfranz was one of Stefan's hoaxes? Thanks god because i was almost believing a despicable person like that existed...I even thought of not posting this thread because i didnt want him to resurface...Now, on topic. The clip you posted is interesting steef. But i have not seen ID4 since its release (11 years!) and i dont own a single clip of the score. So i dont think that what i thought. and the ID4 'version' is gentle, not the fanfaristic.Mmm possibly it is Belly of the Steel beast. Or that i heard 1st the MOH scores and then TLW....çBut i see i was wrong since nobody can identify it clearly with a Williams piece Welcome tonedeafness

So i dont think that what i thought. and the ID4 'version' is gentle, not the fanfaristic. That theme also has more fanfaric performances throughout the score. I suggest you pick it up. It's far better then anything I've heard from Giachina.

Dr. Jones 0
Hmmm maybe you've played Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine? Because the Theme of the Russians in that game is pretty much the same as I remeber. But again it's not a Williams Score.

Because the Theme of the Russians in that game is pretty much the same as I remeber. But again it's not a Williams Score.I was just going to point that today. I think it could have been this cue.EDIT: I think it is in fact a russian-soviet theme, i think it is also in Call of Duty, and possibly if i rember correctly, in ID4, when the russians got the morse-radio message of how to destroy the enemy or when they are celebrating the destruction of them... No it is not, these are different russian theme, and laso used in Air force one, i think.
Luke Skywalker 1,798
Well.... i found a cue that was written before Giacchino's:Joel McNeely's 'Race to the Front' and 'Aerial Pursuit' from the Young indiana jones chronicles disc 1 (tracks 3 & 6) have this theme. The fun thing is... i have only had these Indy scores since last week...and unless the theme was stuck in my head since 1993 when i saw the series...
