I bet it's only going to be in the UK again, grr. Oh well, I'm still stoked at least Jurassic Park is getting re-released next year in the States (even though it's in 3D). Perhaps the same thing will happen with Jaws... although for some reason I can't see a 3D Jaws working very well (well, unless it was Jaws 3D itself hahaha).

I too think it could be a local thing. For example, the Italian branch of Universal Pictures is gonna show the restored The Blues Brothers in selected theaters here next June, as a tie-in with the Blu-ray release. It will be a one-week only window, but it's nice. They did the same with Back to the Future a couple of years ago. Let's hope they'll do the same with Jaws and E.T.

Martin, it's all psychological. You yell Deep Blue Sea re-release, everybody says, "Huh? What?" You yell JAWS back in theaters, we've got a panic on our hands on the Fourth of July.

"Jaws" is really a miracle of evolution. All it does is play, and scare, and make lots of money, and that's it.
