What is the last video game you played?

Just took a subscription for Xbox Live Gold. It's the Games for Gold that attracted me because I wanted to give Gears of War: Judgment a go, since I love the earlier games.

I found a used copy of Xenoblade Chronicles for 44$ in a video store. It's very rare, the price on ebay and amazon is 100$( or more)

I really wanted to play it and I have acess to a Wii

I've completed the GTA V story campaign again and am now ready to become a tripple billionaire (for each character). I didn't know this on my previous playthrough on PS3, but you can manipulate the stock exchange to become super rich. You have to not play a certain set of missions (Lester Assassinations for Franklin) until after the story ends.

Here's how it works in detail

Gonna try this later.

I just have to post this :P

My brother send me this video for the opening intro music.

It was a game we played as kids with out cousins. I freaked out when i saw the Spanish flag in the choose country screen.

I didnt knew who Williams was back then!

Playing The Force Unleashed on PSP. While a little wonky, it's still a fun play and is the best version of the game. There is a prominent ghosting issue, however. I'm not sure if it's caused by the game or the console itself.

I need some good music to create a playlist for Exo Zombies Call of Duty. Looking for action/epic/exciting music (preferably film music). Anyone have ideas?

Playing Assassin's Creed 2 on the PC. It's a pretty fun play, even though the port sucks (vague controls, awful U-Play interface). In terms of story, I am getting a little tired of the "melodramatic death of a family member(s) to motivate the main character" trope. It seems like it's in the beginning of every one of these types of games. Otherwise, the story is fine.

On an unrelated note, I think I've gotten completely tired of Dragon Age: Inquisition. It makes a great first impression but the story lacks interest and is too stretched out. The missions are getting into "grinding" territory, making little to no impact on the larger story.

I've only completed AC 1, but the repetitive nature of its gameplay didn't do much good for my initial playthrough of AC 2. I gave up after a couple of hours. The setting was nice but not enough to keep me interested.

I haven't touched an Assassin's Creed since, and don't want to. There are too many already.

Assassin's Creed II found the right balance of upgrading and searching in its gameplay. I never beat the first game because I found it too boring and repetitive, but something clicked with II and I've been buying them every year since.

Each iteration incrementally improved upon the last, so a 2-year cycle would be a lot healthier for the franchise I think. Black Flag is the perfect AC game. You should give it a shot, a lot has developed and changed since those early days.

Black Flag was amazing until the usual Ubi map icons bloat turned me off, getting it finished became a genuine chore. Definitely worth playing though if you're into the franchise.

I opted for Unity instead of Rogue, but apparently that was the wrong choice, considering the latter has more of the seafaring. Aside from the first game, I haven't finished AC III and AC Unity. Those two have the same director, so methinks it isn't just a coincidence. That dude likes to pump those games full of too much side stuff that gets in the way of a natural flowing open world environment. Yes, Quint, I will agree with you on that front. This is your worst nightmare:

Far Cry 4 took me 60 hours to get to 100 %, which is WAY too long for an FPS. It became a chore for the last 20 hours. I was having fun the 40 hours before it. But doubtful if I'll ever play it again.

If AC is like that, I'll probably just stick with story and the most relevant side missions.

The setting itself was something different and stunning looking, and I liked how the story was self-contained.

The combat wore out quickly. Using the tiger was fun, but short-lived.

P.T. will be disappearing from the PS store and at the same time it's confirmed that the game that got promoted through that playable teaser, Silent Hills is now cancelled.

Sad news, I was so looking forward to this most intruiging collaboration of Kojima + Del Toro + Reedus !! :banghead:

Something serious must have happened between Konami and Kojima. Konami has tried their best to erase him completely.

I've got my fill of Battlefield Hardline and it's time to move on to another one of my backlog titles. The campaign was a bit underwhelming, but considering EA shoehorned Visceral into it, can't be too surprised. At least they tried to mix it up. The online is surprisingly fantastic though. I'm really enjoying it, but 25 hours in and not a single friend with the game, I haven't much reason to keep playing. The game modes are fantastic, the progression systems addicting, and overall some of the most fun I've had playing an FPS online in a long time.

Now I'm on to Wolfenstein: The New Order. Gonna try and get through this one before I play The Old Blood. Only played a couple hours last night, but it's another refreshing FPS that steers clear of the futuristic jetpack jumping shooters that are now the norm. Really impressed with the the graphics and gameplay. Never played a Wolfenstein before, but with Quake and Doom in Bethesda's hands, I'm excited for what else they'll bring in the genre.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein was pretty fun, at least until it got too hard for me. It was one of the last pre-physics infused FPS I played. And of course, the original 2D Wolf3D was great nostalgic bliss. MLI

My game time has suffered due to personal life shit and sort of being in limbo between two different homes for the time being, I mean I've not even managed to get a Nightfall done in Destiny this week yet, or cash in a single bounty. Then there's GTA V still on hold, which is a game with so many controls and so much going on that one have to stay fresh with it or one forgets how the fuck to play it.

Some more Star Wars games have been released on GOG.

Rebel Assault 1 & 2

Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

Furthermore, X-Wing and Tie Fighter have the much requested MS-DOS CD version included.

I'm wondering if May the 4th is going to be day of a big sale? :)

The sale is currently running through the 7th. But I will wait until the 4th to see if it improves.

The X-Wing games are now also on Steam, but they aren't the DOS versions just added to GOG.

I have too many new games to play...don;t have time to go back to old stuff

And I play games exhaustively and usually complete everything, so there's not much point of going back to them

Same with movies. It's not like it's going to be different the second time through. I felt a lot happier when I took all my Blu-rays and DVDs to the Goodwill.
